Dr's knows best. i have asthma too and couldn't get my medicine here and in the Phils.So what I always do is everytime we go to the US,my husband takes me to a Dr. for a yearly check up and ask for a year prescprition of the medicine. I take 2 maintainannce drug a day,1 inhaler and 1 tablet plus a ventulin inhaler just in case I have an asthma attack.The ventulin inhaler is not a problem ,we can find it anywhere here.
So don't waste your time ,go to a Dr. as soon as possible.
Tell that in the Pharmacy, they have their qualified and certified Pharmacist who are equivalent to a doctor, they will give you the alternative equivalent of what you really need. If in doubt, better go to a doctor.

well i did ask pharmacist, i consult doctor at Al-Ahli hospital. what I was told tht here in Doha alternative for this medicine is not available.
Now, why I posted in QL, bc now m trying every channel.... one of my friend in office told me tht sometime ppl are associated with these suppliers from different countries so may be somebody wld be able to resolve it for me.
Why do people seek the advice of random strangers about a medical treatment via a website, instead of going and asking, gee, I don't know, a doctor or a pharmacist??
Seriously, you would just take the advice of anyone, as long as it was posted on QL because you can't be assed going to the pharmacy? Why didn't you just asked the pharmacist for an alternative when he told you that ventide wasn't available?
Even when they have not had the medicine I need, they will call all the pharmacies in town to find out who has it. Good Service. If no one in town has it, they can tell you who is the appointed pharmacy in town (some pharmacies work with certain drug companies) for that particular medicine brand and can order it for you.
Please consult your doctor personally or visit Hamad Hospital Emergency to get an appropriate perscription.
You can also visit your PHC located in your local area and get it from out patient pharmacy.
I use to buy Ventroline for my mother but I found that its lot expensive in private pharmacy compared to the pharmacy within Private Health Clinic or Hamad Hospital Pharmacy.
