300,000QR/mo is the equivalent of nearly 1 million US dollars a year! For an annual salary for a young physical therapist this does seem rather high. In the US they would not start out making one-tenth of that. And in Qatar physicians do not make that much. Hmmmm...

maybe SDJC will work for Emir. ;) u gotta be very famous in Argentina. It's very normal for people here to question your salary as some would normally have like 3,000-5,000 basic salary.

dude if u have anything official, present it to the Ministry of Labor,

if u r saying that those ppl own everything, then there is no use of doing the above, just be happy & ask ur employer for increment whenever appropriate

You stated your salary which is not supposed to be necessary.. So, don't blame people to ask.. anyhow, you'll probably get a justice if you try to approach the labour office. Sorry if you got offended, we're just curious that's it. Good Luck... Peace! *in polite mood*

You dont have to show any proof..its your salary and its your life! Why would others want to know...

But....if you are this smart..you should have not asked random people for answers..you should have find out yourself!

maybe his offer is this much, he was asking a question and needed an answer. whatever his salary is. so SDJC, just go to ministry of labour with the original offer.

Who would offer such amount? Are you applying for a politician in the country?

Maybe it's not Qatar Riyals.

Guess he is talking about yearly salary...some companies mention salary as annual package.

Looks like he was offered 25K per month now they are giving him only 18K...in that case its unacceptable..

QR80,000 does makes a difference.

As they all have said, bring your papers to Qatar Labor Department for this issue and hire a lawyer if you must. Once all will be sorted and the QR80,000 will be added (or more), we are all a PM AWAY and SHARE your blessings!... =)

By SolidSnake9• 19 Jan 2009 08:06

I advice you to go to Ministry of Labor and raise that issue. They can help you. Best of luck!

QR220,000 = USD60,413

I think most people here, including me, could live with a monthly salary like that.

If you are not happy you can afford to hire a lawyer to sort it out can't you?

it's either that, or this one's on a bragging spree... anyway, if you dont want the 220,000 then fine, go look for another employer,.. im sure somebody else will be more than happy to take what they're offering,.. mind you, if there is any hint of truth about it..

SDJC. You are either mistaken or you are joking. QR300,000 has to be an annual salary (and it's not enough).

Only a rocket scientist or similar could command that sort of salary monthly.

Will you earn QR 220,000/monthly in Argentina? If you do, then go ahead and complain but if not, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND QATAR RIYALS MONTHLY is not a joke man! It's more than enough for a 26-35 years old, male physiotherapist. Share your blessings!
