I bought a wireless telephone from U.S not recognizing that it needs 110 v power supply. I plugged it into 220v and it works for two days then it dead. Is that affect the machine itself or only the adaptor I need to replace?
I appreciate your support, the problem is, I've never seen such adaptor before. The outlet socket (head) looks like the telephone's one. I think it is a new tech that will not be valid in the local market.
Hi Eatch, It may only affect the power supply of the unit. If you have other power supply that can test your unit do it otherwise look for a repairman. Have a good weekend.
I did the bring phone from the US as well. But replaced the power adaptor from the local agent here (Panasonic) for about QR 30. I think your phone is fine, just replace the adaptor.

I would buy a new power adapter first. Cheapest option. If that doesn't fix the problem then ditch the phobne and buyt a new one.

If I am not mistaken, since it is a 110V 60Hz, and Qatar elect. is 220V 50Hz, so there are 2 factors that need to be considered.
Most probably the adaptor is fried. But only a tech. can examine your machine and give you a definite answer.
