Villagio Fire Damage From Above

Here’s an aerial look at Villaggio mall taken from the Torch Doha, showing that the roof has been taken off as men work to repair the damage caused by the May 28 fire that killed 19 people, including 13 children, four teachers and two firefighters.

The mall has been closed for the last three months. There have been reports that it is close to opening, but our sources now tell us that it failed to pass another Civil Defense inspection last week.

According to one manager:

They gave the mall 3 weeks for the next check.
The mall from inside is so clean and ready even the food court is ready but as I said they need to match the Civil defense standards.
It is unclear as to what aspects of the mall have yet to be brought up to code.

The accused failed to appear in court for the hearing. The court adjourned and reconvened after lunch to continue with cases deciding who's maid slept with whose driver.

So what happen to the people who committed all this tragedy, where are they now. I read 5 days ago in Qatar newspapers that who caused all this tragedy are refusing to go to questioning. I also heard that "they" told the kindergarten owner to claim insanity so they can release her, if they didn’t release her already.

Yes the QCD is the only ones that will allow Villagio to open, when and only when all the safety measures have passed the tests.

My sister in law is back to working there now in her pharmacy only to do preparation, she says no one knows opening dates, they have to wait for QCD to post the announcement to Mall Manager once every safetly requirement has been met.

Salam
