Visiting Doha

I am anticpating a trip to Doha in November. I will be traveling alone and would like to know of hotels there that would be safe for an American woman to stay at safely that is not really expensive. I have a friend there, but because of some of the restrictions in Doha I am not able to stay with him. Would you please advise?

this is a old thread

I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here

Than a whole truck load when I'm gone

Those are too expensive.

Book online for the George II

www.george2hotel.com

Comes to around 650 a day, which is great and wifi and breakfast included.

As for safety... You'll be safe anywhere... except a seedy hotel :P

Thanks so much for your help. Are there other hotels there that might not be as expensive as these as I am on a budget after I pay for flight.

Thanks again,

Lilly

If you stay in chains hotel like Ramada, Marriot or Movenpick you should be fine.
