Vodafone, "Treat or Cheat

mariam-mar
By mariam-mar

Here we go again, is it really a treat or a cheat, for people who had purchased this "PROMO" offer for shareholders. The offer is if you pay Qr.350, you get Qr. 1000 free of load...well, that sounds pretty good, but, the load is to be consumed only in a month time. Whether you like it or not, you are going to spend the Qr. 1000 worth of load in a mo. and the validity will exlpire in 2 months. Is it a treat, to spend all that Qr.350 worth of load in a month?
Hey not all that, watch out, the charge is Qr.1 per minute, i was even charged morethan 1 riyal/min. once i spent 39mins. and 32 seconds, it was taken, about Qr.72.
In addition, you cannot transfer any amount to other number to share these thousand of load..
Could anyone say the difference of Vodafone from Qtel? These two are just one anyway..

cool down guys, vodafone is still implementing its infrastructure, things will be different when they start their real services.

It'll take time to compete with qtel, qtel is considered one of the best in the world!

Qataries who bought vodafone shares are the first eligible people to buy vodafone numbers which you can choose what number you want...

Me & my husband use Vodafone mutually plus we have Q-tel service too with us in case we are not getting signal. Qar 70/- per month for Qar 700/- credit is not bad btw but if international access was given it would have given much benefit.

Eagle_of_heaven please have some sense_in_head and put your signature line AFTER your posts! Every time i come across your posts it throws me off track to think why are u talking about flying like an eagle in heaven? :S

On to this subject well I still prefer my good old hala card, i can top up as much as i want and i know i can not exceed the amount so my telephone expenditure is under control. Plus i hardly make any calls, its mostly the sms feature that i like to use. At the most in a month i speed like 250 riyals on hala recharges.

"mariam-mar"...vodafone has not yet finaly launched its service.its just this is Qatar and qatari people should get everything first thats why they started IPO and sold the shares to qataris first..then they want special numbers ..so they are giving away special numbers to qataris...just wait for their final launch bcoz still they are in their final setup stage..so till that time you will face these kind fo problems..the competition has not yet started..

I'm sticking with Q-Tel until Vodafone-Qatar proves itself.

We've been shafted by Q-Tel for such a long time that we got used to it, it would be difficult to adapt to vodafone's methods.

I have one sim of vodafone with me..Itz really cool..sometimes I think 2 times a day you get a network error..but mostly itz very well done.. Rates for one minute are 0.55Dhms..for international calls at any destination in the world is 2.50 riyals per minute..

These are the starting rates which will be decresed once vodafone is open for public...

in short..they are real competitors.!

Even I am having the trouble, it doesnt get signals in most of the places plus I can receive sms but cannot send to any to till date. Plus to use 700 Qar in a month in local calls / mobile calls doesnt make much difference if we cannot call overseas. I wonder why they kept off the option for calling outside the country. Plus auto debit from the credit card is again not a nice option, what if I do not want to charge it for a month, there should be some manual system & it should be upon the choice of customer.
