WANDERING DOG FOUND!!!!
Hey guys, I thought you would like to know I found the sweet girl this morning......tied to a tree with nylon rope! Untied her, and called Abby's owner. He came a picked her up. Poppy was right, it isn't Abby, but Abby's owner decided to adopt her anyway; either in the hopes of finding her owner (if she has one) or giving her a loving home.
So, it's good news that yet another stray has been given a chance at life, and sad also that it wasn't Abby.
Thought I'd share the lovely news.
I know exactly what you mean. My female gave birth to three pups. I found two of them homes (this was in Bahrain in 2001) and decided on keeping one. He's spoilt rotten and doesn't know what it's like to struggle to survive......but his mommy does. And not a day goes by that she doesn't look at me with those big brown eyes that say, "you saved me, I will always be grateful"
They are smart, savvy and so loving. That is why I will never buy a dog...EVER! I will only ever rescue one or adopt.
It's funny, just yesterday my dogs were out in our yard and my female got locked outside the door. When we figured out she wasn't inside the house, we opened the door to find her staring up a the door trembling. Poor soul thought we had left her behind! Needless to say I lavished her with cuddles! :)

i i found one of my dogs out here a half sulki just wandering so i took him home wihth me. he has been the best behaved and amazing dog i have ever had ( shame about my naughty other boy) of you can give a street dog a home im sure they will make the most amazing compainion!!
When I had the dalmation to home, I would have said no simply because as a breed, they need space otherwise you'll find your house in shreads. However, this little girl is a street dog. Judging by what my dogs were like when I got them, I would say that they are just eternally grateful to have someone that will love them and feed them. With her damaged leg, I doubt she'll be a sprinter.
Tell you what, why don't you drop me a PM (private message) with your number. I'll call you and we can figure it out from there.
Ciao
PS Anyway, as soon as I spot her again, I'll take a picture and send it to Poppy and also post it up here.

She's wandered off, probably to get out of the heat. Will go around with my camera and as soon as I get a picture of her I'll send it.

Can you get a photo to the QAWS website, atleast we could post a notice on there with your contact details!
If she is in trouble and really needs to be taken in give me a call, maybe QL readers will chip in for her costs. Chances are she may already be pregnant. Give me a ring to discuss. M: 528 6335
I know, It's so hard to turn a blind eye. I know the 'street' dogs are at least savvy, so the least I can do is feed them. But they still need to be spayed, so the problem doesn't worsen.
There is another saluki mix, white with beige patches wandering around. She's probably only 7 months old, as she's in her first heat. Her back leg has been damaged, but she's very sweet natured. I saw some local kids dragging her around on a makeshift leash and trying to get the terrier poodle mix (half her size) to mount her......by physically throwing the dog at her. Literally THROWING. After they had their fun, they abandoned her.
She is now wandering near my house. I've tried to keep an eye on her by feeding her.
So if anyone knows a kind soul wanting a faithful street dog, let me know.
