Weakneses of indian cricket team ????????????

mz.000
By mz.000

In my view point india has always produced great batsmen. But bowling and feilding is been poor. India had very few good attack bowlers in past, but now a days indian team's weakness is attack bowling.

What do you guys think, share your opinions.

In the top 20 ODI's wicket taking bowlling list, only Kumbe is on 7th and Kabil Dev on 17th numbers..

I guss no body in the world has any right to utter a word against SACHIN. He has only replied all with his bat, and count the no of times he has been disnissed at 90 odd score on wrong decessions and yet never uttered a word but went back THIS IS DESIPLINE and SPORTSMANSHIP.

I think with 20 /20 matches a team must contain 6 solid Batsmen and 5 hard hitting alrounders , pure bowlers like SRISANTH , ISAN SHARMA ,NEHERA must be kept out.

Well i totally agree to your point my dear friend.Irfan pathan and ishant sharma can be considered as the bset bowlers amond indain cricket team. But we cannot deny to the fact that Harbhajan singh is the best off spinner in indain cricket niche.

Cricinfo Quote

Four batsmen went past 40 but none carried on for a big innings as Australia reached 250 on a good batting wicket in Mohali. The Indian bowling, led by the crafty Ashish Nehra, was very disciplined without ever looking too threatening and it was enough to restrict Australia to a par score.

you are right money power plays everywhere in the world and in all the fields....cricket not an exception...

In general, only few sportsperson shines on their merits but with support from state, central govt or some major corporates. Even Irfan, Yusuf were also from low middle class background.....BUT after IPL all have become Multi millionaire.

Lets convert and improve our weaknesses to STRENGTH.......AUS 123/3 at 26.5 overs....Pointing POINTED !!!

The main thing is money....Only rich guys can get in the Team

I guess the only guys who came on the Indian Team on pure merit alone would be Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli. I really cannot think of anybody else.

Munnaf Patel has pace.....and the talent was brought in by Sachin Tendulkar who had to literally plead with everybody in the Mumbai Selectors who put their foot down....and I guess he played from Gujrat in the begining....

I guess Munnaf Patel was the Fastest India had he was spotted by the MRF pace foundation.....which I guess is extinct now. Previously they used to hold the speed contest in local grounds with a speed gun.

With all the flaws mentioned. Team India is No 2 in the ICC rankings with just 1 point below the No1.

They will be No 1 if they winn against Australia today.

don't worry dude

You have a top class bating order. Follow the tactics of Arjuna Rantunga (especially in World Cup 1996), they totally depended on their bating.

The batsman need psychiatric, not sex, as stated by their coach.

i guess they are just too much hero-worshipped and spend all their time either endorsing products or playing losing matches.... :S gone are the golden days of indian cricket....sighhhhhhh!

I think they need bit rest. Playing all the year and loosing all important trophies (T20, Champions trophy) is not a deal. I never belived ICC's unpredictable rankings.

All the best for Aussies, crush them!!

Weakness? I guess its the politics and the over use of players.

I'm not going to comment on the politics as its not my forte...

But yea, players should be given sufficient rest. The Indian players are always injured or being overused.

Perfect example is Ishant Sharma. Give the kid a break! Ask him to bench a few games maybe even a few tournaments. Let him analyse this game and other teams' games with a cold eye.

The over use of Ishant has detuned Ishant.

But heck, who am I to give a professional comment?! :D

India has got good bowlers, but they are not utilized by the team.. eg: Irfan pathan, he was a good swing bowler but they tried too hard to make him an all rounder and now he is no where. Ishant sharma is another bowler who has got the speed, but m sure even he will be made in to a medium pace bolwer and others are always injured like zaheer khan.
