can I buy a used car in doha, i enter qatar on visit visa but the company has my work permit and passport. I have been for the medical and awaiting my residence permit. Do I have to have RP to buy car here?
many thanks
Ok, got that abt the insurance (thanks).......QR 10 (no premium needs to be paid if its still valid) and it can be transferred to the new owners name and will be valid until the next premium was due (Right?)
Now about road worthiness / certificate of fitness type of thing? (The likes of what they have in UK called MOT)?

Is there like a road worthiness certificate for a car? Is it in the name of the car or the owner? So if its a used car, should names be changed on that?
What about road taxes? Insurance? Is Insurance transferable?

Insurance can not be transfered. You have to have a n insuranco on your own name when you chage the car ownership
