yes but the news came in the morning where people are already heading to church and maybe has no time to read the newspaper, and to think that the road blocks took effect in the evening of thurs, so maybe,no one is aware about it.

anyway, its all done. i just hope that next time we will be informed at least 2 days ahead

i just came home from the church, and its really chaotic, no rerouting signs! you just try to find the way on your own, until we finally made it to airport road going to the church, but then they also close the road leading to the church so we use the rough roads there, whewww! its good we reach the church at 8:40 usually the mass starts at 8am, huh!

i hope if there'll be changes , a big change actually, i hope the authorities could provide another re routing, that way we will never be lost. and besides they block the road from the woqood r/a at the same time the road from airport road to the church! it really a mess, but thanks GOD, HE LEAD US.

for the link. It appears that the police may have been there because the thing just closed at midnight and they had to direct the largest percent of the Christian population through there this morning.

And, joe.stud, it is not the only place where Christians gather - the construction is not yet completed for all the Christian communities of Doha yet!

@ MagicDragon

Cuz today is friday and that's the only area in Qatar where Christians gather. Imagine the whole Christians of Qatar gathering at the same place on the same day and the road is in construction! Terrible.

Don't you guys read the newspapers.

That road is closed for road work.

If it's for 'roadworks', why don't they have cops everywhere?

NO!!! Road works are going on there. And cops knew that there's going to be a lot of fuss there today! And yes, it was totally a mess!

Road works started yesterday night. :-)
