It is almost equal...
Storm said it all.... nothing more to add.... except for that happens if you are lucky enough.
Because they are the second for us to be born, first reason is God will.
Please consider my answer applicable to those who share with me the same belief, for others the reason might be different.

1. Children are not on your list but for any parent they top the priority list.
2. Parents and spouse: can't choose between them but depending on the situation one has to decide what is priority. My Parents are getting old and I want to be with them when they need, that doesn't mean I am ignoring my spouse.
3. Siblings.
I am still emotionally attached to my parents and siblings even after being married for 10 long yrs...
I can't live without all of them(mother/father/siblings/children/husband)...Difficult to prioritize any one..

Its the mother we all gel with at first, followed by the father. Brothers and sisters is a favourite at 3.. but what about those who don't have siblings? Also, after marriage, priorities will be more for a husband towards his wife (assuming its a healthy relationship)
Bravo BG! but you also need to explain as per OP's request and add wife somewhere in the lineup.

but wanna answer actually ...
its all about balance in life , a man who knows how to balance a life this list never have 1234 ... all are No 1 ...
I never felt that my husband is not giving me importnace coz he knows how to balance... n my husband parents especially his mom is so happy with us ...
it is abt balancing.... A MAN should be MAN enough to know how to balance :-) IMHO

I am the future wife lol... however it sounds like im choosing one over the other one. 1. Father & mother, 2. brother and sisters in that order for me.
1) Children
2) Husband (I don't have a wife)/ Parents
3) Siblings
Children are the most important because they are young and vulnerable and need to be protected.
Husband or wife is the second most because you've chosen to live your life with that person and they will hopefully be the one there for you when your children have grown and have lives of their own and your parents have passed. Good Parents are also second because they raised you, loved you and are always there for you. If it's a choice between husband and parents, for me, it would be difficult, and I would have to decide what's best for my children. Luckily I've never had to make the choice between my husband or my parents. I really pity people who have bad parents or who have to choose between their parents and spouse.
Siblings are 3rd, because as much as you love them, they've got their own lives, goals and dreams and sometimes they can be very different from yours.
Mum , Pope's, and myself.
Why does it matter? One day my husband might be the most important person to me, the next day my child, another day my parents, yet another day a friend. Depends on.

Your bothers and sisters might get married and be temporary away.
But If you lost a mother or a father you will not have compensations, nothing in the world is like the both of them.
I miss all of them mam,dad, brothers and sisters
i still don't have a wife :)
