Lentil and vegetable soup seasoned with miso

served with spelt crackers

topped with

houmous

and mackeral (drizzled with ex virg olive oil and greek basil)

 

yum yum

 

Tommorrow I am thinking of

 

a starter of cod and red pepper coulis

an open fresh vegetable lasagna (buckwheat) (no white sauce)

saffron pears (cooked in pear juice, saffron, and spices)

 yes yes now u talkin my drift - hot toast , lotsa butter then lotsa bovril (aint that heaven on earth??)i am so gonna have that tomorrow morning with some crispy bacon amgonna pass on the pancakes.......and a nice mug of cappucino with cream and cinnamon sugar and a choc swizle stick as a stirer.......

 m elike butter on toast then add  on bovril(somethin like marmite but beef instead of veg stock) and a few crispy bacon on the side= out of this world and i aint sharin..........go away...........hehheehheheheh

I usually eat well but I haven't been looking after myself since I have been here.

 

Only four weeks so I don't think I've done too much damage.

I might be able to 'gourmet up' the beans for you...saute some onions and add it to the beans with cherry tomatoes and some fresh basil.  Season with salt and pepper.  Drizzle with olive oil.  For the toast, lightly brown some organic wholemeal thickly cut slices.  Pour the bean melange over the toast.  Voila.

 

Please, please, please tell me you didn't use Libby's naff baked beans and chemical white bread.

Well I believe the best wine in this category can be used to augment a gourmet meal such as beans and toast and if there should be any left over it is caustic enough to be used to clean the silver.  lol  PERFECT for any occasion as you can see.

It depends on what year it is, I find the 98 has subtle woody tones intertwined with hint of frogspawn and a caustic aftertaste.

 

Perfect with sausages.
