Where do I take a piece of gold to get the weight, price & authentication?
I'm not referring to the souqs.
There's supposed to be a place where you can take a piece of gold jewelry and they'll weigh, price it, etc.
Basically, I have a piece of jewelry that I'm not loving and would like to sell it but I need to get it appraised officially before I can sell it (and, no, a jeweler cannot provide the service). I've been told it's a building by the HSBC on Grand Hamad but I could't find it.
Can anyone help?

I tried to find that place myself and couldn't find it.
If you go the old gold souq at the back of Al Fardan money exchange they will buy your piece of gold without this documents. that's the place my friends go if they want to sell their golds. but make sure you ask different places as they tend to beat you down with the price don't jump at the first offer. good luck!
