Which areas do young couples live at?
Hello People,
We are a young couple moving to Qatar next month (26 yr old), I have been working in Bahrain for the past 5 years but due to work circumstances we will have to move to Qatar.
I was just wondering which areas do young expatriates live at? Some where equivalent to Juffair or Adliya in Bahrain.
Some where where we can socialize and make friends with the same age group. I have a budget of QR 7000 and I do not want to blow more on accommodation. I also have my furniture with me.
Any advice is appreciated.

The place is near Doha Jadeed as Britexpat mentioned above..:)
since you are working in um ghuwalina, its better to stay in mansoura, doha jadeed, al hilal, or even matar qadeem...
Thanks for all your replies. The company is paying for my furniture to be moved so no hustle.
I will be working in Um Ghuwalina near the "Airport Road", not yet sure where that is exactly.
normal price for 1 room is 2000 QR you will be lucky if you get 1500 in a decent place like Al Sadd.
But i dont know if there's 1500, i think prepare 2000 to 3000 QR.
also..its more expensive to shift your furniture..You can buy in Qatar..Less Hustle..
Most people make their accommodation choices based on proximity to their workplace.
Doha is large and the traffic is terrible, so living somewhere close to the "fun" places (in Doha?!?) rather than close to the office might be unwise.

alsadd area walking distance to supermarket,mall and money exchange center..also the restaurant..your budget is enough for a couple

You can find a decent 2b.room appartment in al saad area on your budget or maybe 1bedroom in zig zag tower (west bay area.

Unfortunately..all those happening places are closed down...
Btw.. Qatar is not as friendly as Bahrain..

nothing as such young and old here :) u can stay at Al saad ,west bay , matar qadeem or wakrah as per ur convenience
