WHO IS THE WORST DRIVING IN QATAR???????????????

By hotandsticky• 6 May 2009 00:15

As i said a few weeks back BEFORE the trajic accident of

the minister - any Qatari between the ages of 18 - 25.

The Qatari boy whose speeding was the cause of the accident was 20 years old. I rest my case.

MINIVAN drivers!

THEY are the absolute worst drivers on the road. They fail to use turn signals, exceed the speed limit, cannot maintain the same speed on the highway, fail to yield to pedestrians IN CROSSWALKS, yak on their cell phones weaving all over the road, tailgate, highbeam from rear and oncoming, cannot park for .... (fill in your own four letter word), back up with out looking, pull out in front of you as though you don't exist, cut you off, and are just plain RUDE people.

You can't have a light without a dark to stick it in!

But I am also the best driver, haven't been in an accident since I was 15.

Worst? very easy. Any Qatari between the ages of 18 - 25.

Even the Qataris know that. License should be revoked after their 3rd offense which they easily rack up by the 3rd month after receipt of license.

Happy Happy, I've seen them in the streets and roundabouts waving people over, but this guy was behind her in traffic, then turned on his police lights and pulled her over to the side of the road..Never seen that here before.

How many times have I been amazed at seeing drivers pull their crazy reckless stunts right in front of the police and wondered why the police don't do anything!

worst drivers are karwa kabayan drivers,, all are recenful employees, nobody like the job,, the second best are the one who have a cell phone glued as an extension to the left hand (nationality,,,obvious)

By Happy Happy• 13 Apr 2009 15:29
Happy Happy

I’ve seen the traffic police flagging down drivers, including local teen drivers with tinted cars. They’re even considerate that at roundabouts, wanting to stop a car, they waive at them to pull over after making another circle, to avert accidents caused by sudden stop.

Maybe the lady driver wasn't belted or had car issues. They do meticulous checkouts even on the small renewal sticker on the vehicle license plate.

You wobble your heads incessantly

You are always looking for a chance to spit out of your car windows

Cars in Qatar dont have what you are used to - handle bars with jingly bells and festooned with jingly glitter.

People who are driving at 70-80 kmph at the most left lane whereas speed limit is 100/120 (sometimes they are going to turn left and giving signal about 1-1,5 km before the round about and continue to drive as if its their right to close the left lane). Or maybe some of them are coming from countries with right side steering wheels and thinking that left lane here, is also for going slowly.

People who are making flash lights behind you instead of making break while you are taking over a car with 100 kmph on a road that speed limit is 100 kmph.

Last but not least I hate those w*ankers who are thinking that we are stupid and they are very clever because we are waiting in a queue and they are taking our right. Driving your car out of lane from your right side and jumping in front of us doesn't make you smarter.

This is what I can think in short time.

Cheers

The fact is that we don't have cars at all in India. We usually ride the elephants and that's why there are no head-on collisions. When the elephants come head to head they usually shake their trunks or tails sometimes and we nod our heads before proceeding.

Since i was born in Qatar in 1980, I think drivers have got the training how to drive but never able to get DRIVING SENSE which is far very important then having driving skills. Isn't it guyss.. Well, I have found the following dangerous & nonsense drivers (no offense):

1. Newly licenced Keralaite drivers

2. Taxi drivers

3. Qataris especially youth with tainted glasses from every where which makes me doubt that how the hell they can see through it at nights.

4. Mini Van drivers having sign saying "HOW IS MY DRIVING" and still they are driving very strangely.

5. oh sorry, we shouldn't forget WOMANNNNNNNNNNNN... from which i really try my level best to avoid getting nearer to her especially those ladies whose seat is so upheld that it seems that she is sitting on the handle and then driving the car.Although, i have seen many expert & confident ladies drivers who are usually from African Arabic countries.

For lack of awareness and general spacktard behaviour on the road - Indians

For utter bravery/stupidity - Locals

I never ever relax on the road, even parked, I feel like a potential target. I've lived in a few places across the Middle East and here in Doha is the worst driving I have ever experienced. I thought my own country's driving tests were harsh, but now I appreciate that they prepare people for driving.

Basic stuff over here gets done badly, consistently. Driving to Landmark the other day I saw a truck parked across the central reservation, facing the wrong way with skidmarks ACROSS the road. I mean, how much of an idiot do you have to be to manage that trick?? Wasn't as if it was busy either. Apart from me and the onlookers, I only saw two other cars.

Regardless of the nationality. You can point in many drivers that is careless. If you want to see them, just have a look in most roundabouts... drivers tried to stay in the left lane but tends to go right. (Hmm??? kinda confusing isn't it?) They dont know that the 3 lane roads has its purpose on roundabouts. Left will go on left or go around. Middle should go straight through a roundabout and Right should turn right on a roundabout. I can't seem to understand why drivers here in qatar passed the driving school yet so ignorant of the rule.
