WHY OH WHY #2

have been wondering this for a long time, so if anyone could enlighten me that would be great.....why do some drivers not switch on the vehicle headlights when driving at night but instead have the interior lights on ........there must be a really good reason i bet and i'd like to hear it.....

jack- i have seen a few everyday evening/night since i been here.it is very noticeble when a vehicle behind you is getting nearer and nearer minus headlight(like a phantom car)but with interior lights on....

and to the 'konk-off' reason , man too many faulty headlights , wonder where they're made.......

spicemom...thats easy...the headlights might have konked off...ie not working....so the only other option would be to drive with the internal lights......its quite brilliant I guess.

And come on, not many who drive like this ...At least I have seen none.

onemakikomoto - now i get it coz camels dont have headlights that is why it is not in the nature to have the headlights on . so how abt the honks??coz camels dont have honks so they get excited at having the honk as a new toy then??lol>honk honk honk honk------>heck i aint deaf yet......:P

Duh. Because if your battery dies, then your headlights won't work! :-D

By tallg• 6 Jan 2009 17:00

Ah yes, that classic fear of your headlights draining the battery while you're driving. Genius.

Spicemom, one of my hubby's colleagues told him it's to conserve battery power.

Just like your son said, loooool!!

hey jauntie , happy new yr to you- abt the above topic , no kids in the car , but still kids or no kids the headlights MUST BE switched on whilst driving when it gets dark........or are they concerned it may effetct their electricity bills but then again who knows the reason i guess

It's because Qatar's drivers are naive, unexperienced, and irresponsible.

By tallg• 6 Jan 2009 16:13

It's the extremes that get me - you have one guy driving along with no lights on while another has his high power xenons(sp?) on full beam blinding the frick out of everyone. I'm not sure which is worst!

By britexpat• 6 Jan 2009 16:12

The simple reason is that they don't want to blind you from your rear view mirror, so they are courteous enough to switch off the headlights.

By jauntie• 6 Jan 2009 16:11

then they forget about seeing the road too.

ah so baldrick and here i thoughtthat they dont like sitting in the dark.....>CSI, My son's reasoning is better, they are afraid that by having the headlights on whilst driving may drain the battery.....

anymore that we aint heard of yet??keep them coming.....:O)

They don't switch on their headlights 'cos there are street lights!

Interior light is on cos it's dark INSIDE the car!

Simple eh!?!?!
