WiFi at home & Apple Mac

Hullo there!

I'm looking at setting up Wifi in my home. I'm using a Mac and was wondering what modems/routers people use. From my experience in Dubai, not everything on the market works with a Mac.

Anybody out there using a Mac and Wifi at home?

Cheers!

Red Pope that sounds like my dream machine right there, i've gotten tired of playing with my Ulead software on my PC i want to try what Mac has to offer, I found the apple place today, they had the 24"imac on display, that screen was huge, í'm going for the 20" screen imac, centrino 2 duo, the money difference of this one and the 24" i will use to upgrade the RAM on the 20" instead, I just think i'll wait till march because the last time i was deciding to buy a mac for sure they upgraded from the intel duo to intel 2 duo, so i'll wait till march and if there is no upgrade i'll go for this one its already powerful enough for what i need anyway.

Wifi standards are the same regardless of whether it's a PC or a mac. You just need to make sure your mac's or pc's wifi nic are capable of the same a/b/g channel your wifi access point is using and that your OS has has the necessary drivers.

Agree with Qatari, I run a 3Com router purchased from the local Carrefore, with Q-tel adsl, works fine with my powerbook, fast too.

Okay thanks, I might look into this. I bought a USR 9110 and that doesn't seem too work with the mac

I'm using a Linksys and it works fine. Generally I've found that my Mac connects to anything.
