Will someone photograph my old house for me?
I used to live at New rabban Villas but can find no record of this address but I have found on Google Earth what I think looks like a small street with villas either side that looks like it (albeit a little delipidated).
Location: Heading into Doha on the Rayyan Road, you cross over the intersention with the C ring Road and immediately on your right is a turning in to Saeed Bin Suhail Street. My old place was 2nd or 3rd on right as you turn into the street. If any one is in that area and is willing to send me some pics of the villas and area I would be very grateful. I would be very happy to reciprocate.

Thanks for the video Glasney!
looks amazing! Seems so much more fun and free then now! Children wearing nice summer dresses and Santa Claus!
Thanks for the links!
Will watch it at home.
I live in the UK but spent my childhood in Doha during the 1960s. Timebandit kindly uploaded pics of my old house for me. At the time I said I was converting my fathers' cine footage he took of Doha in the 1960's. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be uploading the footage in parts on to You Tube. Those wishing to see Old Doha will find this archive footage facinating.
The first two parts are available as of tonight:
You Tube: "Doha in the 1960s part 1 and 2".
All the best.
heart warming... :)
I like the aerial shot of the city, or should I say village.
What a difference a few decades makes!
Glasney, do you have any plans to come back for a visit?
Absolutely enchanting. Loved the Father Christmas and especially the reindeer :o)
I'm guessing that you enjoyed your stay here and had good times..

I like the house no.8!
Nope... sorry you can't. Just open yourself a Flickr account, pop it on there, and then post the link to it on here the same as I did (Flickr is free by the way).
I would love to see it.
I thought timebandit might like to see a picture of the house I think he photographed today in 1966- but can i upload from my hard drive?
You are welcome ;)
