Woman can write on body - Great for Doha!!

Think of it.. No more passing over your phone number.. You can just write it on your skin..

MEDICS are studying a rare skin disorder that enables sufferers to use their bodies as ’walking notebooks’.
Patients with the syndrome – artificial urticaria – discover that words stay on their skin if they gently write on themselves using a fingernail.

One sufferer being studied is Chinese grandmother Huang Xiangji – whose body is covered in poems and notes.
The 50-year-old – dubbed ’The Paper Woman' – says her condition comes in “very useful” as she can use her arms to write shopping lists.

Stunned skin specialists at the Chinese Medical Association say the disorder “has no ill effects - even though it is very weird.”

When Huang, of Chendu, China, writes a word on her skin using a finger, the letters protrude from her skin a moment later.

She yesterday said: “I have used my body as a notebook for years. It is useful when it comes to writing a shopping list.

She added: “The condition is basically an allergy - but to be so touch sensitive that you can use your body as a notebook is highly unusual.”
There are no figures for the number of patients with the disorder – although there are Brits who are registered sufferers.

Surely it all depends on your "posture at the time" and who the audience is..

That is pretty fascinating - and true too! My sister got something similar as a reaction to an illness when she was hospitalised a few years back. Even now she can scratch a letter/word on her skin and it soon rises up so you can read it clearly.. sounds freaky, but there you go...
