YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN ARCHITECTURE or DESIGNing WHEN...
somebody just emailed me this observation and ....just wanted to share with you guys....
1. ...the alarm clock tells you when to go to sleep.
2. ...you know what UHU tastes like.
3. ...you CELEBRATE space and OBSERVE your birthday.
4. ...coffee and cokes are tools, not treats.
5. ...people get nauseous just by smelling your caffeine breath.
6. ...you get surprised when you see a new building in your office complex.
7. ...you think it's possible to CREATE space.
8. ...you've slept more than 20 hours non-stop in a single weekend.
9. ..…you've fallen asleep in the washroom.
10. ...you've listened to all your cds in less than 48 hours.
11. ...you're not seen in public.
12. ...you lose your house keys for a week and you don't even notice.
13. ...you've brushed your teeth and washed your hair in the office washroom.
14. ...you always forget telephone numbers
15. ...you've used an entire role of film to photograph the sidewalk.
16. ...you become excellent at recycling when making models.
17. ...when you try to communicate, you make a continuous and monotonous whine.
18. ...you've danced YMCA with excellent choreography at 3 am and without a single drop of alcohol in your body.
19. ...you take notes and messages with a rapidograph and colour markers.
20. ...you combine breakfast, lunch and dinner into one single meal.
21. ...you see holidays only as extra sleeping time.
22. ...you've got more photographs of buildings than of actual people.
23. ...you've taken your girlfriend (boyfriend) on a date to a construction site.
24. ...you've realised that French curves are not that exciting.
25. …..you can live without human contact, food or daylight, but if you can't print. it's chaos.
26. ...when you are being shown pictures of a trip, you ask what the human scale is.
27. ...you can use Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D studio Max and make a web page, but you forgot how to use Excel.
28. ...You refer to great architects (dead or alive) by their first name, as if you knew them. (Frank, Corbu, Mies, Norman...)
29. ...you buy 50 dollar magazines that you haven't read yet.
30.....you notice.. you always run out of cigarette..
31.....You know what Superglue tastes like.
32.....your computer is open 24/7 and you dont want other people to clean ur place because you might lose your ideas
33. ...when someone offers you a Bic pen, you feel offended.

its true architect.J...almost all, mentioned above happen during our college days.....and here in doha...hhhmmm,,,relax but when we do have rush jobs which i really hate....we stay in the office from sun rise to sun rise...and for smokers ....that's the time you notice that you dont have cigarette anymore....still need to wait for our friendly teaboy to arrive at 8am to ask him to buy one..since our nearby bakala they dont sell cigarette anymore.......when job done...home to sleep from sun rise to sun set......
...the alarm clock tells you when to go to sleep.
