YOUR CAR GOT PAINT,CAN YOU TELL?
By hishamalshareef •
1- why do you think a painted car is less in value than original (Dealer) paint, although some painted cars can not be identified unless you are expert in the field?
2- Q for experts, how can you tell the car is painted by looking only?I have always wondered how this ppl know the diffrence?
its all the experience in the field ..
C.C.G., "professional" aftermarket painting can even be better than factory painting, because you can choose to have ten layers of paint if you wish, compared to the standard three layers of factory paint. Of course, it will have its price!
At the factory, automotive paint is applied with an electrostatic process that uses an electrical current to precisely deposit paint on the metal. This is done for each layer of paint.
The professional second painting is same like company painting.
1) Dipped in anti corrosive Primer
2) Spray painted with Bottom coat then with Top Coat which gives the paint the gloss.
Dont worry mates,I dont have this problem, but sacmba cooooool, you are really cool mate, this is a good answer.
Sometimes you see ppl doing things you dont know how to do,but you want to learn how to do,this is why I am here chaps.
Why should I pay the german experts for something I can do myself dude
Arien that is correct.
In Company painted cars, you can see the shadow of anything with very sharp and smooth edges, while the second paint from any another workshop other than the company's garage..ya will not see the smoothness and sharpness of the edges compared to the company's paint..! ;)
Original is dipped , repainted is sprayed
is a dead giveaway,
1) Painted cars are assumed to have been involved in an accident so the value goes down
2) Shoddy paint jobs are easy to spot, one has just to look closely.
1. Because it is often repainted to hid a defect or accident.
2. Usually orange peel and depth of finish. Respraying without a proper clean room and drying kiln produces very second rate results :o(
your car is painted and you are scared that the buyer will notice it.
