Dear customers,
We just found out this complains, and we are very sad for hearing this from your side. be sure that an action will be taken and we will work harder on this issue to offer you the best customer service. Hoping from your side to complain to the manager on the spot when any misstreatmnet happens with you.
thank you in advance
best regards
Rotreo, I agree...it also does not help if the Lebanese sales men stand together in groups having a good old chat....and can't be bothered about the customers...and renovating the shop won't make a darn difference either. I don't even go to Zara anymore for about 2 years now...I have tried every now and then, but no, no change and the collections are not worth mentioning either.
Sorry Zara, but you have been a BIG disappointment to many customers.
still the same treatment ZARA ...pardon i think your shop is out of basics , the Lebanese boy flirting the Ethiopian girl, instead of good customer service,,,
Call the Al Mana Co. @ 4354880 look for the Operation Manager Mr. Franz! this might help!

If the management & the owner are truly committed to customer service, they need to take a hard look on themselves. Attitude of workers more often than not are the true reflection of those of the management or the owner, therefore It’s never enough to make corrections just on the workers level. How the management/owner actually treats the workers is equally important to be looked at.
Dear All,
We would like to send you our sincere apology as ZARA fashion advisors team.
Please visit us and let us prove to you that you will be having a raving fan experience during your visit.
Please note that your complains will be taken into consideration and an action will be taken on the spot to satisfy your needs.
Managers of ZARA are there to solve these kinds of problems so kindly don't hesitate to call us anytime.
Sincerely yours,
Rachad Iskandarani
I totally agree with u ...once my 2 year child was moving her prime here and there and was playing with it and by mistake she hit her prime to one of the lady worker in Zara at Villageo, u will not believe she started to shout at my 2 yr with words of Stupid etc. my bro was standing beside her and lady worker doesn’t know he was with the baby and he gave her good lesson and asked for the Branch manager .So, then she was ashamed of her behavior and apologizing...
My Question is this the way u deal with ur customers specially with just 2 yr child.
Shame on u guys..... Im a big Fan of Zara but the customer service is JUST ZERO plz change Ur staff or give them some lessons how to behave with ur customer.
Wish I could kick those guys out of Villagio. I experienced the same Rude attitude at Zara as mentioned above in this thread.
But I feel a bit satisfied now that I am not the only one who was subjected to this kind of treatment :) At first I thought there was something wrong with me that
these guys are not willing to help.
It was the 1st time I visited ZARA in Qatar. It'd be much better if staff is replaced by Filipinos.
You know what is worse than Zara customer service? A majority of the makeup counter girls who are too freaking busy to help you because they are doing their monsterous makeup half the day, with the store samples none the less. If you want to see a lipstick you have to pry it out of the salesgirls hands.

Dear All,
I have a complain concerning Zara Egypt Karrfour Branch, It was really unblivable. I brought a dress 10 days ago after that I put it on in an occasion my freinds told me that it is cutten from the back looks like a scissors cutting. The gress wasn't expensive almost 230 LE but as a conspect I took it to Zara Store. Can you imagine that ASS sales Manager was there telling me sorry you wear it so take it & live coz i will not do any thing for you. My answer was ok: Just see it no matter to take it or not. I am a Zara Client in Vienna & Spain but there staff are very helpful Why you donn't want to help. The great reply was : WHY DON"T YOU GO AND CHANGE THE DRESS FROM THERE because I will not gonna change it!!! I asked her to meet with the manager , there was another great answer : I AM THE MANAGER HERE I AM THE ONE WHO IS RESPONSIBLE SO TAKE IT AND LIVE?????/
Can any 1 belive that this is a customer service treatment?? Again dress is not the issue the way the lady representing ZARA is the issue.
Look a t Quicksilver City center, the service is better now , they brought Filipinos instead of lebanese , that was a the solution ...

They make you feel they are superior than you and if you ask a question they look at you from up o down to see if you deserve or not to be served !!!! not to mention their "look"
go to Zara Landmark instead
If I had to go there again I will mention their names

Many of the stores now should re-access their SALES STAFF, I swear many stores their were more clerks in the store than customers yet I could not even get a question answered. IF A BUSINESS IS failing they should take a good look at their lousy Sales staff you get the impression they make don't get paid as they stand around posing, maybe commission would work better. I once even made the motion I would get rid of them. In the FACES store at Landmark the sales people were too busy visiting with each other and posing, they are wrecking many shops in Doha. Guess the owners are not into the business of making money.
djkiller, your friend did a great job.

Yup those arrogant lebanese A-holes are like that, i went there last summer & their treatment was crazy & they just stuffed all what we bought in a bag.
i'd been there once and i promised myself i wont go back there anymore.they dont care at all.everybody there acts like a boss.the clothes are great, merchandising is excellent except for the staff.
my intructr @ colleg.....talks abt bad help desk n customer service by takin ZARA's qatar branch as an xample!!...lol
:C
"BRING IT ON DUDE!!!"
and not the sister companies were brought up in this issue.i.e.-pull and bear, massimo dutti and zara homes are also part of their chains.so far...no one has posted complaints about those stores yet.
how unfortunate that you were treated shabbily by their staff.im a hardcore shopper, patron in their store and have not yet experienced such atrocities.have it been me,,,i would have raised hell and demanded the resignation of their lazy staff, including their manager.
anyways i hope that this wouldnt hinder you from buying good stuff from Zara....
To an extent it can be with Zara, as they should have known by now from the ongoing complaints from the customers to revise their employment staff!
Why is it so hard to be nice? Fine, they have the looks and style, but their cold attitude overlooks everything...
Another complaint at Zara another Lebanese salesman.
The probelm is not with Zara, but with these stuckup Lebanese useless guys.

Last week on Wednesday, i visited Zara at the Landmark in search of formal skirts. My eyes fell on a lovely one and i decided to pick it up. But i found some stains and checked with the sales guy to see if he has another peice to replace. He checked and got back to me with none. Hence he suggested that he would send it to the Zara Laundry and get it cleaned. He took down my name and number and told me that after a day it would be ready to pick up. When i returned after 2 days(Saturday), he informs me that it is not there. I was not too sure what he was saying. By then, another sales guy came along and asked me who did i give the skirt to?I pointed it to the first sales guy who took care of my order. Then these guys were discussing in Arabic which looked like my skirt was lost! This other sales guy tells me that the skirt was not at all sent to the laundry in the first place!I was shocked. But since i was in a good mood and dint want to loose my skirt. I told him i want that skirt somehow. Even if it takes 2 more days, i will come and take it. This guy was so apologetic. But to my suprise, the sales guy(lebanese) who was dealing with me initially was not bothered! He was just smiling and telling me to come back..I must mention, these people were lucky cuz generally i do not keep quiet and accept this kind of attitude...
I will be going tomorrow to Landmark and definitely this time, im ready to give them a peice of my mind!!!!
notfromhere
Cheers :)
i feel the same way as alexa abt the lebanese sales ppl. my one thorn in ma B**T are the cashiers at carrefours (villagio and CC)
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
I believe that Zara Managment will take this issue seriously.QL is really effective and known to many in Qatar.
Generally CS in Doha is not reaching the level of money being paid. and thru QL we can raise similar issues and I believe it will make a diffrence. what do you think?
So is there any more complaines?? I think a lot...
I've had good experiences at H&M. The cashiers usually greet me and say thank you. At Christmas time, I saw a scarf I wanted to get for my daughter. It was the "last piece" (another thing about shopping here-- it's ALWAYS the "last piece!!!! How is that possible???).
Anywayyy... the scarf was on a mannequin, way up high on a display shelf. One of the salesmen happily got a ladder, climbed up and got it for me!!! NO eye-rolling, sighing, or scowling!!!
NOT a typical experience around here.
And eyhab... ditto!!!!!!!!!! to everything you said!
I understand the way you feel as have had the same treatment myself.
Bossini, in the Hyaat Plaza is another shop I am reluctant to go into again, the assistants follow you around the shop at a distance of no more than two steps away, this is quite intimidating and I was put off from shopping there, they did however have a suggestion book on the counter and as well as speaking to the manager of my experience I also made sure I wrote the problem down.
Am shopping again soon and hope the situation no longer exists.
Anyone else had the same treatment??
now that you mention Zara anyone checked out the service in H&M? oh my GOD there is a HUUUUUGE difference between dubai and Doha. In Dubai they are very helpful and keep on smiling i have been to H&M 3 times in Doha and all 3 times has been a nightmare, which is very sad cuz i love H&M but i will certainly not go there if the attitude is not being changed.
any comments?
LOW PAY will eventually catch up with everybody!
"We cannot control the negative atmosphere of the world, but we can control the atmosphere of our minds"
I have always been disappointed with the level of customer service they offer here in Doha. One of the reasons could be that those guys in Zara and others (wearing 1KG of jel and suit) are both not well trained and way under paid. I am not trying to justify their actions but they seem like not interested in what they do.
I think one of the few things you can do in this country is shopping (nevertheless, variety is limited). These salesmen at Zara and others ruin it for you and I personally don't blame people for holding their shopping spree until they get to a decent country where they can more with less and at the same time get lot more joy of an experience.
I agree with you iPhone

I WANT TO COMPLAINT "H&M" TOO.... CAN U HELP ME OR SEND ME PRIVATE MESSAGE ON HOW TO COMPLAINT THEM, INCLUDING THEIR MANAGEMENT AND POLICIES...
¤Be considerate in considering the most considerable things to be consider.¤
Thank you.... i pay may QTEL bills at the Starlink shop in Royal plaza because the two philipinos that work there give tip top service with a smile.
infact they all the customer serivice guys and girls are busy flirting each other in zara...
its not only in ZARA its everywhere in doha where lebnon citizen are in customer service,as the qatar man said they think we all below them they are the top in town..
they sould learn from chinese and philipinos..
wearing 1KG of jel and suit wont make you good customer service man or good business man...jst remeber that..
I would have to agree with "notfromhere", my wife has the same comments that she feels they look down on her when she enters that store and others, as if what are you doing in here, there is nothing that you would look good in or have the money to buy (which is not the case). It bothers her when they follow her around not asking if she wishes help but just ajusting items after she looks at them, sometimes she hasn't even moved on and I have witnessed this. When she does ask for something they just say finished without calling the other stores to see if they have the item. She also finds that the shopping selections and styles here aren't always age & size appropriate.
Yeah that is so right it happend to me and my hubby so many tims...it it is always lebanons gays!!!!!
Not sounding racist, but i see that Philipino Salesmen and Saleswomen are doing a great job in this department...all just not with a smile but also with a neat service.
At the same time, not a single time do i get out without a row with Lebanese Sales-chaps, Pierre Cardin, Ted Lap to name a few.
They dont seem to be fit for this trade. Excuse me !
Think Global...Act Local !
yesterday at Zara Landmark I'm afraid.

"There's this thing called being so open-minded your brains drop out". - Richard Dawkins
Many of us (myself included) have become so used to the poor Customer Service, and the run-around when trying to do something about it, that we just roll our eyes and say "Welcome to Qatar".
Good for you Qatarman for speaking up! It's the only way things will ever change.
As for me, I'm not much of a shopper. Usually buy my clothes in the US, where I can find age-appropiate comfortable items, lol! Way too old for super-low-rise jeans!
My teenage daughter likes Zara clothes, but won't go in there without me, and that goes for both Landmark and Villagio. She says "I always feel like they're judging me!"
I don't care much about how they get the clothing into the bag, but they are just so darn RUDE!!!! No greeting, not even any acknowledgment of your existence. They don't even look you in the eye!
We had these same comments on the Carrefour thread, and I agree with Oryx. These people are just not trained in CS.
'Sales people base their treatment of the customer on his skin colour '
Not true they just dont know about good customer service...they have never been trained.
You have great products.... and thank you for looking into the standard of service to bring it up to the standards in Spain and Portugal etc.
I think number one is to teach the Lebanese guys to fold clothes.
I just say nothing remove the squashed items from the bag and fold them in front of them.
One guy laughed once and said, 'I can't do that'.
I find Landmark Zara more helpful.
Customer care is a foreign concept in Qatar. Sales people base their treatment of the customer on his skin colour and what he's wearing. If I wear a cheap T-shirt, everyone ignores me. If I wear a nice shirt and tie, their quite helpful.
This is especially true with government offices. In the past, I had to go with dw (darling wife) to a government office (next to LuLu Centre) just for them to listen to her. The office ladies there (sitting in their expensive abayas) will do nothing for dw..only "hallas...hallas". When I came with dw, these women stopped their chatting with each other and started to pretend to work. They were quite helpful for dw. They finally did the paperwork to register dw as a RN.
novi - funny thing is my son used to say that tome too when he was younger..........dang kids say the darndest things dont they
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
novi - lol @ "mummy thats your shop"
i always love Zara clothing ... when we went to spain / portugal we never pass any Zara outlet without me going inside it. Now everytime we pass Zara my son always mention 'mummy thats your shop'.
personally i never have any problem to the lebanese shop assistant in any Zara outlet ... me think they are alot more friendlier and very polite compare to filipina shop assistant in debenhams perfume section.
Welcome to Qatar.

and we appreciate how the Zara manager looked into our comments in a positive way.
i am a regular at ZARA so far i am happy with them and nothing of this sort has happened to me yet since i have been here in doha.....
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
A few minutes back I got a call from the Manager of Zara Villagio, Mr Ibrahim who was very apologetic & promised to look into my complaint at the same time improve the services. As I always say "Accepting your fault is the first step in the direction of correction".
Its good that we discussed and got attention.
Grumbling doesn't help but blogging can!!
"if you have low expectations its hard to be disappointed." Well said. LOL! This applies to almost all retail outlets in Qatar. However, I've found a few exceptions - Banana Republic and Gap have pretty good salespeople. Salam is good too. The classic Qatari sales attitude actually drove me to open an Aramex account and do all my clothes shopping on Amazon.
I went to Zara about a year ago, and bought some pants and shoes, and never went back, since I didn't feel comfortable.
I completely agree that all the guys working there soesn't know anything about customer servece.
I like Zara, think the service is okay- I dont want to hang around, I go in see what I like and then pay and get out as quick as possible, if you have low expectations its hard to be disappointed. These are two rules that can be applied to most things - even going to hotel bars.

zara villaggio - thank you for taking the time to register on QL and address this issue. It's good to see a company willing to address customer service issues.
PM - I agree, Zara Home staff do pack things carefully, but they always take SOOOO long ringing up the purchases, and it always seems to take two of them to do the job of one person. I always feel like grabbing them by the collar and screaming at them "LOOK, THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT, IT REALLY ISN'T THAT COMPLICATED!!!".
my friend bought some shirts for his office as he is high tempered guy..so in the cashier he paid the guy put the shirts in the bag as he is putting garbage in the plastic bag..my friend pissed off and he said..I NEED MY MONEY BACk..TOOK THE MONEY AND STRAIGHT TO THE SUPERVISOR..supervisor himself packed it and said sorry for that...some times you have to do that..
thats very bad. sorry
but if i were you i would have asked him to pack it right away
and if i were you and he was ignoring me i would have caught him from his throat.
Ah but Good will visit them soon
and Zara Villagio if you hear any complaint going on in any of your showroom that sure will be me.
Because i always care to fulfill requirements. what you will ask for will deliver it to you.
[img_assist|nid=73057|title=.|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=|height=0]
what do they sell?/
hey Zara do you have 45 size boot i mean shoes
do you have jaens for male.
do you have tee for male.
You dont have??
Ok no use close your shop.

hie all,
the same as qatarman told happnd to me. i rily felt the same. they are considering the customer as somwot lik that the whole Villagio is on their head. (sori to say). i was goin ter aftr one of my frnd took some stuff frm ter. if he was knowin this b4, i would not have gone there. i kno its nothin....but still....i'l never purchase for a single riyal frm ZARA and i'l ask all my close frnds not to go there.
Dnt Let Ur Dreamz Slip Thru Ur Hands !

Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
I have taken note of the suggestions offered by the fellow QL members .I made a polite phone call to the Sales Manager and have forwarded my complaint alongwith the comments offered by you guys on the email ID given i.e [email protected]
Lets see what sort of response I get.Whatever the reply, I promise I will definetely post it here.
Heres a "BIG CHEERS" to the QL solidarity!!!
i had same experience tooo in ZARA but in LAND MARK.
QL forums had been quoted by some newspaper for sometime.

Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
ZARA items are fabulous...only the treatment there disappoints the customers:( ..but if they scout some comments on QL forums maybe they will improve.
Yeah right, mallrat is mean.
Still i love Zara.

surprise...surprise!
u right there - they dump the clothes in the shopping bag..just screw them up and shove them in.
correct vignale, here they really lacking of good CS. you should come to my country you will see the different. we really follow the motto "customer is our king" beside they do need the business, not like here I guess, they think they dont need the money.
Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
yup yup. they are exactly like u r saying!
that's why i don't shop there anymore. and if i have to go to Zara i go to Landmark!
If you're looking for a problem, you're probably gonna find one.
Mila, I wished it worked- but it seldom does here.
Lack of customer service is the rule here- sad but true
next time go there again and tell them "excuse me, if you doing this again, i will report you to your manager or worse I publish your low level services in paper". Hope that wake them up.
yeah.. I have same problem too at the beginning they totally ignore me. But now they see me there atlest 3/month shopping like crazy, now they all smile and treat me nice. but still is not good experiences at 1st time.
Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
Trust me you r not the only one.
