Qatar Living celebrates 10 Years of Community today

It's October 15th 2015, a very special and joyous occasion for the team at Qatar Living as we celebrate 10 years of community, growth and prosperity.

While we gear up to celebrate this milestone starting this October, here are a few numbers that you can ponder upon to put this occasion into perspective.

Founded in 2005, Qatar Living was the first social networking website in Qatar. Since its launch, the website has helped more than a million people from over 150 different countries across the world.

Over the years, the website has become a one-stop information portal for expatriates living in the country and those looking to move here.

Community members have answered over 250,000 questions on various Qatar-related topics in the forums. Qatar Living believes that collectively its members have more knowledge about life in Qatar than any one person or guidebook.

Qatar Living's aim is to let people connect, participate and share. Hence, most of the content on the website comes from the online community.

Qatar Living is also the most popular classifieds website in the country with a massive pool of listings for second-hand vehicles, properties and other items. 200,000 cars have been sold and more than 600,000 homes have been rented through the website.

The jobs section became an instant when it was launched over a year ago and has seen over 20,000 job ads listed by employers and job seekers combined.

With the launch of the classifieds mobile app earlier this year, buying and selling has become more convenient for the users.

Companies in Qatar advertising with Qatar Living have been able to reach about 8 million visitors in the past year alone with a total of 1 billion ads displayed.

With more than 300 million pageviews and users spending 246 million minutes on the website in the past year alone, Qatar Living has been able to maintain its position as the No. 1 local website in Qatar.
