Good Morning,
Today I will try to remind you with some commonly used words at the immigration department:
Words
Jawaz safar / Jawazat = Passport / Passports
Tajdeed = Renewal
Salaheya = Validity
Betaqa = Card / ID
Eqama = Residence Permit
Quiz
1- How can we say “the validity of my RP is expired” in Arabic? – plz use English letters –
2- What is the English Translation of “Kam sana taby tajdeed?”
Have a great weekend :)
I am currently looking into a career change and this post helped to see another aspect of the industry. I appreciate your article.
Barbara Hayes
ummm where is the beginners class? lol
please write in Arabic also, it difficult to pronounce written in English
oops soory..spelling mistake, I thought Alhan = Welcome
U said Alhan can be used for "HI", so I had that doubt coz while welcoming guests my boss always uses Alhan
no dear rak, "ahlan" is the correct word, also u can say "hala" for same meaning
I thought Alham = welcome
TB: actually "ahlan" is the reply of "Marhaba = Hi", but also it can be used in the meaning of "Hi" and as a reply to Thanks "you are welcome"
LOL, osama... what to do yaani.. Learning never ends :)
cool eng. I am glad that u added another word to ur dictionary :)
Now I now what Bataqa means. I heard it so many times and to be honest I thought it was a Tagalog words as so many Kabayans use it.
Shukran jazeer ya Usama, jazakallah Kheir ya Akhee ..:)
Thank you for the calrifications :)
RAK: tareekh al inteha = Expiry date
but salaheya = validity
thanx for contributing :)
From the above Tajdeed is a new word for me.
I suppose we have another word for validity, like for date of validity we say: Tareekh al inteha...so is inteha related to validity...correct me if I am wrong :)
TB: Afwan is the word to say when someone tell us "shukran = thank you" and the same word can be used in the meaning of "Excuse me/sorry"
fea: i remember that since last year u commented 2-3 times on my thread, and that shows ur interest for learning the language, and remember that "where there is a will there is a way"
ahlan tinky :) and thank u 4 motivating me to start this thread again
Osama i dnt knw this much Arabic
CL bay: it's not tough especially for u, unless if u forgot arabic and concentrating on ur hindi knowledge ;)
eshdawa, osama !! tough questions today?? .. :)
Thanx Dr. i wish that the "matar" will start soon to wash the "ramly = sandy" weather
fea-sad in depressed mode
:( and it's contagious!! it's the weather maybe?
adding to ossama thread (if i may):
matar = rain
not to be confused with mataaar = airport
Kashsinger:
thanx for ur answer but small mistake
"Al eqama" not "le eqama"
Fea:
why u r sad!?
:(
Ans 1- intahat salaheya le eqama.
Ans 2- how many years for renewal
