By osamabawab •
Good Morning,
Few days ago, one of my friends involved in a minor car accident, and he faced a problem in understanding what the other Arabic speaking guy was trying to say.
So let’s learn today some words which is commonly used in such situations.
Words:
Hadis = Accident = حادث
Shorta = Police = شرطة
Shorty = Policeman = شرطي
Esaaf = Ambulance = إسعاف
Sayara = Car = سيارة
Galtan= Guilty = غلطان
Hezam Aman = Safety belt = حزام أمان
Saddam = Bumper = صدّام
Ta’meen = insurance = تأمين
Letters:
ر = Raa = R
ز = Zai = Z
س = Seen = S
Enjoy your day!
shukran lakom jameean = Thanks to you all
shukran Osama... JazzakAllahKhair...
Darar = Damage = ضرر
what you say for damage?
I liked Saddam..:) Bumper Husain..lol
SA: u r right, but I intended to use "hadis" not "hadith" so that ppl don't mix between "hadith" and
"Hadeeth" = converse = new.
Accident = Hadith and not Hadis, Hadith is the classical Arabic
Guilt its not a secret anywayz...:)
mukh mafi!
FS, I know where are you from. My friend told me it is his language.
Rizks, the nose is the only sense with a 'direct' connection to the brain!

yea you got wajid Mukh..and I envy you for that..:(
Mukh in my language is Nose..lol

Using my 'mukh', FS.
ok..LP do you know arabic? how did you learn?
FS:
"Shorta and shorty" are not exactly the same as english coz the "t" has to be pronounced like in the hindi word (Matlab = Meaning)
Takaful = Solidarity (which is the islamic way of insurance)
It's more like shortee, FS.
Is shorta and Shorty pronounced in the same way as English Short-a short-y?
Is Takaful also means Insurance?
Got it... added to my list.
thanks. osama
Ha, ha, ha, ha. Lol.
'Shorty' is cool. Hey shorty! Guess what the policeman will say to you!
