Salut tout le monde :),
I want to share with you some great moments about The Moroccan Cultural Week which began on Monday as part of the commemoration of “Doha, Capital of Arab Culture 2010,” features jewellery, embroidery and henna tattooing exhibitions as well as events related to cinema, plastic art, traditional music and dance.
Enjoy the pictures :

Eaglemmanuel,

I have no idea about the "elsewhere" as I am in Qatar and for the past 4 years (including Asian Games), I must say that someone somewhere has no clue about schedules, plans, promotion and communication of events!

The Moroccan Cultural week was yet another real example of what I just said!

Nic said ...Promotion and Communication of events, Qatari style?"

Qatar is not the only one communicating by osmosis. It's quite rampant elsewhere too.

Khanan,

"something is better than nothing" will never put you on the stage of the world class nations.

The only reason I am here highlighting the continuous failure is to recall the attention of a needed improvement.

Awareness, it’s called!

Qatar does not need to continue this poor image; the means are there to show a more professional high standard image.

If you don’t acknowledge the problem, you won’t seek improvement!

That’s all

Khanan,

Wait a minute, I just opened the links and I still don’t see a proper program with all the events, venues and dates.

Am I still right in mentioning Promotion and Communication of events, Qatari style?

Khanan,

You’re right, it’s my fault.

I gave up on Qatari press a long time ago (apparently just like Al Jazeera gave up on Qatar).

I was going to ask the same.

Where on earth is this going on?

When on Earth Qatar will learn how to communicate with the public?

How about launching a local TV channel broadcasting in English, like "Dubai One" in Dubai?

Al Jazeera doesn’t count because even though they are based here, strangely (or not) never report anything from Doha or Qatar!
