I am looking to find out what the national dish is of Qatar and is there a restaurant in Doha that prepares this, i have checked in the dining section here and google Arabic dishes Qatar Dishes couldn't see anything, not to say there isnt but many Arabic dishes are from Lebanon, Morocco etc

for your input but changed the plan now working with Italian, I need to make 4 dishes, one for each week of the month, for a project im launching next month was hoping to do Qatar as host but just cant find enough dishes or places to get then from any recommends on your fave italian here in Doha?

It does serve Traditional Qatari Dishes.

specially they use to cook in their homes "majboos" and "haress" which you can get at doha restaurant in friq Bin omraan or haress al walada at wakra road near hot shot and in Ramadan days there is dish called fareed and sureed which is another famous dish of qatar

Qataris dishes..hmm not sure if they have any national dish!

You can try this restaurant in Souk Waqaf,, ( i can't remember the name) just opposite Deja Vu and Hagen Daas.

You will find many Qatari dishes there.
