Sexually explicit pictures

Hi All

I am due to move to Qatar in 3 weeks time and I was wondering how should I handle some CDs of mine with x-rated material. Should I pack it in my luggage or leave it with the removal company. Is there any chance that the material will get confiscated. It is not porn by the way, just pictures of provocatively clad friends of mine. What about my laptop's ? are they going to search my c drive at the airport?

Sorry for the silly questions. Have to make sure i am doing the right thing

thanks

Salax, if you're on about what I think you're on about, forget it.

If you get caught with that over here, it's straight to jail, do not pass Go, etc. - then you'll spend the rest of your time in Qatar getting bug*ered by Big Bubba in the prison showers . . .

Leave the pictures and the material behind. you've seen it all before. Start afresh here.

Seems like a lot of people are playing with Lady Palm and her five sisters quite a bit.

Maybe they SHOULD have a dating section on this site, for all the desperate porn importers.

Throw 'em on a hard disk embedded in another file. My laptop got checked by customs, but they weren't technically competent enough for this part of the job.  Took about 3 minutes and unless they find something immediately to make them take it to the techical types for a more thorough inspection you should have nothing to worry about.

If he puts it in his belongings which he is sending they will search, and as mentioned above I hope there are no kids on the PC or photos.

Yes they will search your comnputer. You could get in serious trouble. Especially if these "provocatively clad friends" are children. If that is the case...sick.

Whats the difference between X rated and porn? U seem to be lacking the clarity of the difference? Both r the same with a slight variation in the degree of the vulgarity.....

I've brought all kinds of fun things into Qatar and never had a problem. Once I brought in (in my luggage) 12 cans of "special meat" for myself and my family's consumption. They were shaped in the traditonal shape of this kind of meat. The X-ray guy in Doha airport realized what they actually were. He warned me not to do it again but didn't confiscate the cans.

Just pack them in ur luggage between ur clothes, and send them by cargo. As for ur laptop, just take it with u on the plane, noone will check it, even if they did, security only checks the battery.
