Why did the aliens leave Doha?

Translator
By Translator

Anyone know anything about this building? Why is it there, and why was it not finished?

This building and another twin, yet less complete, are located across the street from the Qatar National Theater, close to Corniche (near Oryx Roundabout).

My children think that the aliens decided to leave Doha when they found out that Doha is too hot ;)

Some of you are on the right track. It was being built by this guy, until he ran out of money. Not a story that gets a lot of media coverage in Qatar, for obvious reasons...

BlackBird الشحرور, we were never occupied by the British, read a bit about our history....

By Translator• 1 Feb 2010 07:57

That's not possible BlackBird, because the building is relatively new, far younger than the British occupation.

the aliens who built this are the British. when Qatar was occupied by the UK and most Arab lands

and it was a store for the army.

i heared that back in the days someone from al thani start to build this thing i dont know what for .. a house a majles or an office .. And when it got this far ,by then, the emir stopped it because the land was not registered for the shiekh who start building .. The land was a property of the government of the state of Qatar..

In raya arabic newspaper (raya.com), Reem Al Harami makes reference to this post, and used it as starting point for her column. She was frustraited that everything in Doha is "under construction" and she also point out that Dubai just opened highest tower in the world, and ...

Reem, if you read this, that aliens house was under construction for years, not months.

some poor old ignorant expat got sold a "car" and took out a loan. Of course when said expat loses job, realises he is going to default on the loan he does a "dubai" ( abandons the car with the keys inside and a note that says sorry ) before running of to airport. Normally you would abandon at the airport carpark, but i guess they couldn't get it thorugh the car park gate :)

anyway it look like someone has already nicked the wheels

Its the latest WC/ Toilet designed to rotate the whole building while you pee... No need to wiggle and jiggle. The building design is environment and user friendly. That's why its in the Corniche.

This is a house commissioned from a brithish architect for a very prominent art loving sheikh.

Was featured for a long time on Google earth but no more.

It was designed to show artworks at their best in a specially designed environment. Then something happened and it wasn't completed. Used to walk my dogs near there and some watchmen were always present. Don't know the status now but it should be completed. Such fun, off the wall designs are uncommon in Qatar, might make a great art experience building if completed. Sorry to disappoint the conspiracy theorists but not a government project and definitely no UFOs

Due to technical problems, a similar (yet less complex design) was abandoned. They can be seen behind the shops lining the old airport opposite the airport runway. I have seen 3 of them years back. Dont know if the owner reclaimed the land and built something there during the housing rush of 2008

My grand-father built this proto-type in India to travel to the moon (Sreehari kota, Andhra Pradesh)

but then my father improvised it and built the following spaceship township when there was a real estate boom.

But when our patented house model was copied, I sued CDC the builder and stoped any constructions going further.

By yfon• 30 Dec 2009 15:41

this was constructed by cdc but due to legal technical problems with the owner it was stoped till to date

This AirShip is out of function & repair is under process since years however, human technology hasn't yet reached to a stage where they solve the issues for this. The day this AirShip is repaired, we'l see all Industrial Area Labours flying away to other planet.

"Nobody is Perfect - I am Nobody"

i think it is a secret gov project . yu are not allowed to go near it.

there is tunnel under it which connects it to the nearby GHQ of Qatar Armed forces. Some new type of missiles are bieng developed here with the americans.

But most probobly its a branch of Guantanamo bay prison in middle east...... I saw some masked handcuffed men in orange jumpsuit

bieng brought and led away frequently. If yu go there yu will hear guards beating prisoners . thats all there is to it.
