Women with head scarf like Tichel?

So my husband has asked me to cover my hair for modesty reasons not really religious reasons... for I guess his personal reasons and his family.  We are two different religion and everybody knows this, is not an issue.  I have no problem like this because I was raised the women in my family wear head scarf, not Hijab style though.   I used to myself but the pressures where I live now are very intense and plus it is very warm.  I said this is no problem but I prefer not to have hijab style covering neck.  He told me there is all kind of women in Qatar but I am curious from other experience, if anyone knows what I am referring to, is there many women just covering hair on a daily basis, I am wondering will I be very ill received because of the political climate.  If anybody respond please understand this is me nervous posting and I dont wish to get bad comment, thankyou.

Wow... thats it!!  Perfect!  I forgot I have seen her wear like this... famous icicle shoes haha!   Yes, like that, only with one more layer under and no hair showing in the front.  Fabulous!!  If HH can do it me too!

Google the pics of Sheikha Mouza, she wear the hijab with only her hair covered and you can see her neck. She looks very stylish and I love the way carries herself. Maybe you can try something like that :)

thank you all!  Whenever I have visit them I never exposed my hair or any body part, long clothing etc and in public in the regions we were I always had almost always full coverage.  but here only- I mean in public- is it good enough to only cover my hair and not neck.  or will I stand out like a weed, this is maybe perceived as disrespectful not covering my neck?  I think everyone will say, oh why she not covering her neck.  not to him and family, I mean otherwise.  this is typical Jewish tradition also married women cover their hair so it is the same style scarfing.  will still be wearing modest clothing not exposing arms legs nothing, only sandals I think cause he said it was ok.  oh and this is totally my choice, in fact I am scared to admit, I feel so much pressure where I live now that I have lost courage.  oh and we living in our own place but the family is seeing them every day you know like this

put simply, a person should never be forced to do something against their will.

thank you for the response, yes, it inevitably happens to me like you say always.  thankfully I have learned a few polite responses in Arabic.  when with his family I wear little different, mostly covering neck but loose style, not tightly wrapped under chin like hijab.  He also says lot of women going uncovered in Qatar not like in other parts of the Middle East.  But I dont wish to leave the hair totally exposed.

Thankfully, Qatar is not like Saudi or Iran where its a regulation by the State to cover the hair. In Qatar, its more of a personal choice. This may not raise any eyebrows in public, however, if your close friends and neighbours are conservative muslims, they may broach this issue in once in a while with you indicating their opinions.
