A Season for Sharing: Creative Commons Iftar

What delights us most about Ramadan is that people are more open to giving and sharing.

While actively thinking about how to spread more joy CC Qatar partnered up with Doha Tweetups and St. Regis Doha.

In the spirit of sharing and collaboration local creative community gathered for an Iftar in a magnificent Ramadan tent at St. Regis.

Guests stepped outside the box of giving only to family and friends, and did something significant for the orphans in Qatar by donating the proceeds of the evening for the toy drive.

In addition, St. Regis Doha donates QR5 to ROTA for each iftar served during the month of Ramadan. The funds are for Teknaf, an area in Bangladesh that has been affected by cyclonic storms in recent years.

Guests, great friends, and the CC community members savored the dazzle of candles, each other’s company and enough delicious food to make any spirit bright.

CC Qatar joined other Creative Commons affiliates in the region in celebrating boundary-breaking and bridge-building openness and sharing.
