You have been told the right thing; however, artificial sweeteners are still better than sugar in terms of health.

Please do not entice with these temptations (Rooh Afza). In my olden days, when I did not have to watch my weight, I would have Rooh Afza and shakes made from dates, mango, avacado and so forth. But now, it is not possible. And yes, 4 dates a day would not make you fat. But you dont put only 4 dates in the shakes. Besides, it is not the dates only which you consumed during the course of eating.

Tinkerbell: I am sorry to inform you but the only allowed beverage if you are on a diet is plain water or lemonade (without sugar) sweetened with artificial sweetner. It actually helps to decrease your appetite and burn your fat thereby further increasing you chances of success.

Actually Milk and all diary products commercially produced in the world is not healthy. As most are from Jersey/Holestine which are Genetically modified Cows.

But then there is no other choice... :-(

Maybe Goat milk... or camel milk

Milk from Indian Gir cow breed produces the healthiest milk. It has hump on its shoulder like an Oxen. It produces an average of 10 Ltrs where as Jersey produces 50ltrs milk daily.

Today its difficult to find Gir cow breed in India.

this one is indeed yummy ... had it many times

but for me i think fresh juices are better option than milk shakes , as milk shakes no matter what u pour in them , always high in calories and secondly in iftar we are taking many things plus the shake will be too much.

Milk shake for me is a complete food !!! (after drinking that no capacity to eat anything)

Tinkerbell these fruit drinks that are blended with low fat yogurt or milk are mostly good for people who are watching their calories. It's when you add whipped cream or some ice cream that the problem starts. In this case, the opposite happens, gaining more weight!

. Put dates and milk into jar of a blender and blend it until smooth. Add ice cream and blend again. Divide shake between 2 tall crystal glasses.

If calories are an issue blend bananas with low fat yoghurt and honey to taste. Filling and refreshing.(Recommended quick fix receipe for people following diet plans). One can have any kind of fruit or a mix of fruits for that matter though my fav is strawberries...:)

It is very awesome to taste but it must be kept in mind that it is extremely high in calories also. As such, one has to be careful. If you have it everyday, and if you are already on the upper limit or your weight, it could be bad for your health.
