check if you have upgraded the firmware to 2.2.1.... or might have clicked on the pop up asking permission to upgrade.. this is irreversible... you can downgrade the firmware to 2.2.1 but not the baseband from 2.30... so no software can unlock your phone..only choice of yours is turbo sim... all the best.

i bought my iphone (unlocked) in lulu, 3G, 8GB, version 2.0. i just downloaded itunes version 8. i tried to synchronize my photos, mp3, & videos, it will appear that the sim card being used is not recognized, meaning to say i can not use the ipod in my iphone.

also i found out in the settings that the CARRIER is missing. please help me through qatar living. send it to my inbox. thanks & God bless
