Am I mad?

Right!

I've just been offered a job in Doha so I'm doing some research on here to see if i'm up for it.

There's one burning issue.

I'm a 34 year old Irish fella coming from London. Is there a serious drought of single Western lassies in Qatar or what's the craic? I know the Male / Female ratio is stacked against and that most western expats are young familys / couples etc. Am I mad to be thinking of doing a couple of years in Qatar at my age?

Is it a serious case of tying a knot in it and waiting for Christmas back home? There must be a few single western honeys knocking around the sports clubs?

Help me out - it all hinges on this!

Jargon, I guess that's the way young people back in the US talk these days. I'm sure you understand that some of us - let us say older, mature (but still attractive) women - might find it offensive.

So, are you trying to get yourself set-up before you come here ???

If not, then why not just give it a chance and see how it goes.

What's up, man?

There's definitely some poon to be slayed here, whether it be of eastern or western descent. There's a slew of British pubs (5+) where most of the ex-pats hang out.

If western or light-skinned chicks fail you, there's always the semi-easy Asian crowd. If you have the game of an autistic 5th grader, you can tag some hens without much of an issue.

Cheers.

Hmm, if it is your primary criterion then you may be disappointed in the young, single social life in Qatar.
