oh my...during university days i used to rush back home to watch yuyu hakusho (ghostfighter). it was such a blast before. i think everyone got so addicted to it lol. and of course dragon ball Z...then came slamdunk...fushigi yugi...pokemon! ;) i love anime ^-^

i loved rurouni kenshin in my college days. the last anime that had a big effect on me is death note. i even travelled to singapore a couple of years back just so i could watch the L movie on the big screen.

samurai champloo was cool too. i used to like bleach and followed the anime a lot but i got tired/lost interest in the hueco mundo arc. is bleach still exciting?

i might be missing half of my life but i didn't dare get started on naruto because it's so long and i don't want to have a single tv show control my life for a long time :)

for shoujo anime/manga, my most recent favorite is skip beat!. saiunkoku monogatari (pretty wicked politics for a 'girly' anime/manga), ouran high school host club and fruits basket are my other favorites. i'm currently watching toradora.

oh, all of hayao miyazaki's anime are classics.

i prefer jap audio with english subtitles, but i think filipino dubbing is better than english dubs. something in the anime gets lost (the humor, intended puns, personalities of the characters, etc) when they get dubbed in english.

manga stories are always ahead of the anime... thats why i dont like to read manga... spoilers! :O)

Macross Zero

- Probably one the the best made series involving combat aircrafts. story line is also good as they show you how their technology evolved from F-14's to a full sized flying robots. sadly they only made it in 5 episodes.

Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal

- this is the first episode in Kenshin's(The main character) life where they portray him as the not so funny and wacky Himura they showed us in the series. not for the kids though as it involves a lot a blood spattering and cold blooded killing. surprisingly in the cover it says "Romantic tales from the Meiji era".

Kite: Liberator

- the latest release from director Yasuomi Umetsu. now this one is NOT a hentai like the previous ones (or they haven't release the directors cut yet). the story plot is the same, a cute harmless looking school girl by day and a skilled assassin by night. not for the kids as well.

i could go on and on but so far these three are my top 3 choices. :)

Wouldn't say I'm a fanatic, but there have been some great anime films.

The Count of Monte Christo, Castle in the Sky, Tales From Earthsea, Nausica and the Valley of the Wind. All great. The children's series aren't my thing at all though.

And when I was younger I used to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion all the time.

funny i use to not get the big deal about anima until my lil nephew put me on to naruto the stories in anima are pretty interesting. Right now i watch Naruto Bleach and deathnote. I use to be a big DBZ fan but them dying and getting wished back again and again that format just got kinda lame

i personally find the first few  episodes boring... but that Arc where Kuchiki Rukia was imprisoned,  and their quest to save her triggered the adrenaline on me! It was the best arc on that series, id say. All the twist and turns there

And now, the latest in Japan is starting to get interesting again.

As for the Manga, I heard ( again, I heard) that the Hollow kid with Kurosaki Ichigo (her name is NEL), has already become a full blown Espada Arrancar, looking like a teenage hottie girl with green eyes, and green hair.

Not sure if she is against Ichigo....

Yeah BTX is a classic one too...

But really... Animes just become so corny the way they present it and market it on Philippine TV.

I mean try to immerse yourself on the RAW, Uncut and English Translated versions of each episodes , skip the Fillers, and you'll see that Animes are matured stories in Animation form.

I have never seen a better balance on all the right quantities, than Naruto and Bleach. Thats why they win all these awards, and hey, Naruto is about to reach the record of Dragon Ball for the longest series!. Why wouldnt they? They are simply one of the best.

Now, I cant get enough of the TV episodes in Tokyo, I tried reading the Manga versions. I tought its gonna be boring, well it appears not!!....

Now for those who knows the Naruto story, I am now on the latest Thread!!!. for those who dont know whats the latest, but relates to Naruto..... well.. It appears that Uchiha Itachi wasnt really a bad person at all... he murdered his whole clan.. but it was a mission, a mission ordered by Konoha's top brass... we'll see more of this story.

And yeah Naruto is the 4th Hokage's only son, and it appears that the Chakra of the 9 Tail demon inside him is just half as good (YIN), the other half (YANG) is sealed, and Jiraiya has the Key given by the 4th.
