HEHEHE HOW DOES A TOPIC ABOUT UNITY IN A CERTAIN SUBURB IN SW LONDON TURN INTO A GCC BASHING SESSION HEHEHEHE....SICK!!!! only a sick twisted mind can make that connection so quickly!!!

BACK TO THE TOPIC!!!

I think the UK has the right to accept or reject refugees at it sees fit and in accordance with what will preserve its best interest...having said that, if it DOES accept refugees then it's its obligation to preserve unity and come to a common platform either by coming to the middle ground "which I wouldn't prefer personally" or by helping these refugees "adapt" and in essence BECOME British so that unity is preserved.

Who is telling them how to go about their lives? The article seems to say the exact opposite of that?

I totally agree that, when one moves to another country, one needs to respect their culture and values as well.

But what is happening now are free societies telling certain ethnic/religious minorities how to go on about their lives.

Which is kinda unfair..

Britain should be hailed for giving a last refuse n livelihood to many a groups (like ahmadiyas etc) who're nearly exterminated from their original places

painther GCC especially UAE did take on Refugees from Bosnia, but later it became a joke in UAE when I was there, about the female thing.

UKEngr, is it true (or just sarcasm) on Bosnia refugee?

By GodFather.• 25 Mar 2013 14:12
GodFather.

Agree with that TheSurprised. The GCC were only interested in taking on refugees from Bosnia especially females rather than their fellow Muslims from horn of Africa or even recently Syria!

I think he puts out some valid and rather liberal points (shocking for the Daily Fail) in order to stop the multicultural divide in the UK there needs to be some source of common ground, developing a non -aggressive nationalism is a good way to create unity, while embracing differences.

Agree with the author that more needs to be done to feel as a one nation.

The mosque in the background belongs to a Muslim sect Ahmadis or Qadianis which are brain child of the British Empire in India!
