Arabs and their imaginary connections

basheerbasheer - come on! What do you mean 'accepting expatriates with open arms?' We are needed here to do the jobs the locals can't/won't. Qatar could not operate without the armies of labourers, nurses, shop-workers, admin staff, engineers, etc etc be they uneducated workers at the bottom of the ladder, or university educated professional people. Let's not kid ourselves that we are accepted here - I would say we're tolerated. Nothing more. And as for that old chestnut 'well if you don't like it, then leave' - I DO like it here, but I put up with a lot more cr*p than I would in my home country. It's an interesting experience living in such a different culture, but we will never be accepted as equals. Fact.

There is good and bad in every race and of course we can all get fed up with a few that show the negative side of our countries.

It does not mean they/we are all the same :-)

Just wonders how the cycle of QL gets repeated.

A few weeks from now it will be Qataris, then Indians and Pakistanis, then westerners, then Islam and then mods will come with their brooms to cleanse the forum half-heartedly

I am Lebanese and proud, for sure that I will say that my country is the best country in the world but I bet that everyone believes that his country is the best in everything, I will give you an example: your country is like your mom, maybe she is not the best mom in the world but you see her as the best mom in the world.

Lebanese are not smart because of the public war but because life is really hard for them and if you don’t understand what I am talking about then you must travel to Lebanon to understand what I am saying and by the way everything need connection in Lebanon to get it.

Please don’t see the empty cup only and ask the person if he can really help u or its just bla bla bla.

There are good and bad apples everywhere. Soon I might become a bad one if treated badly.

I have found this OP to be correct in most [if not always]of the times.Vain is the one word to describe both men and women of the nationality,.... though how did this particular land become so engrossed with outward appearances, that too when their home country is so full of problems and far removed from a Rosy life,.....God only knows!!!!

I know a few arab people, they are very good.There are air heads and bad in every nation and race.But the Arabs i know are very kind people.i don't wanna sound a brownnoser, coz i'm not but If it wasn't for the good people of the Middle east, Especially the Sheik Hammad Al-Thani and his family and their kind gestures for accepting us expats in their home land with open arms we wouldn't have been at QL in the first place.So lets respect the good Arabs.

Back home they cannot even eat proper food as they live a lavish life in iddle east

Cars back home are old models and even than thye travel by trains / buses

Always complaining about taxes

Living in a small house comparing to middle east

But still they have alot of complains

I think it is very much self explanatory

its a wrong assumption. may be VERY few, but not all.

I am not meeting the wrong people. I am just pointing out a bad trait in most of the Arabic Males I met ( mostly Lebanese ).

Every Arab I meet makes it look like the universe revolves around their connections while even THEM need the biggest favors.

Did I say I don't like Arab people? Or Am I being Racist ?

- Oh ur visit Visa allows you to stay only 2 months? One phone call i can fix this issue

- Oh you got a traffic violation, I know someone that can fix this

- Oh, You are having a problem in anything, I have my people who will fix this

You follow up with them and the guy that can help is either away, or not answering or just disapeared!

It's just funny.. It's not like you ask for their help.. They offer it but they do not do it lol

life is short to complain about everything in it, live it and enjoy the best of it, if you heard something that u dont like then ignore it

i believe one of them promised u with job or business opportunity then he failed u, if you dont like the arab people then leave it :D
