i got the same idea..i have a bow too..and few arrows i don't mind trying to practice on my small farm. the plot its 5,000 Sq.m 15Km "West" of Umsalal Ali area. i think i could manage to do 2-lines of 30m and 2 of 50m , please contact me.. and i can show you the place..

I contacted the shooting federation and they said the shooting range is only open to the national team. they never mentioned anything about not beeing allowed to shoot elsewhere.

Is archery allowed in Qatar? Before I came to Qatar, I contacted the facility manager of Lusail shooting range around April 2011 and was advised that this sport is only for the members of royal family. As I am new to Qatar, I have no other source to confirm this info.

I may be interested in setting something up. maybe a sports hall would be the way to go as outside is to hot in the summer. thing is would there be any takers??

i had no problem bringing my bows and kit, but finding a range is tricky; the lusail club is for national team only. shooting in the desert sucks cos you lose too many arrows...anyone interested in getting one of the sports clubs or gyms to open up a club with me get in touch

Hi, I will be moving to Doha soon and hope to bring my recurve bow & arrows along. A relocation agent has advised not to bring these items as they previously had a client who has these items confiscated by at the custom and re-export back to home country.

Does anyone know whether I can bring recurve bow and arrows to Qatar? I have emailed Qatar Shooting & Archery Association and hopefully will receive a reply from them soon.

It is near college of the north atlantic-main campus....

I dont remember the name of the street...but I went there a number of times to practice shooting...I was so mad at my boss at that time...:P
