A good beach for you to go to is the Losail beach.
Head out of Doha towards Al Khor following signs for the Losail Circuit (sign posted from the city centre mall), when you get to the circuit turn off as if your heading for it.
DONT turn immediately right (towards the circuit itself) but carry on over the cattle grid then turn right. Follow the road round and you will come to a small car park (think its Coast and Borders building) turn right across the car park and head onto the beach area.
The area itself is used by wake boarders/kite surfers regularly, its also a good walk if you have dogs, however for walking turn left at the car park as this is a better stretch of beach.
Alternatively carry on past Losail and head towards Al Khor, you will see a sign post about 5km short of Al Khor saying airport (science club radio controlled air strip), turn off and head to the air strip bear left at the airstrip and follow it round then just head straight, nice area for walking and photography funnily enough.
How come you miss that nice secluded beach dedicated to parasailing and paragliding in Industrial Area - Access from St. 31. May want to keep it hidden from other people
