i will be relocated in doha on 20 - 3- 2011 can i get an unfurnished flat for me and my wife and 11 month doughter for maximum 5000 QR in a nice area and a good flat.

I suggest that you should visit the Accommodation section under the Classified tab on this site and you will find suitable flats/apartments to your budget.
Once you find the suitable flats/apartments, search for the location using Google map to find out the distance to your workplace including the grocery shops and schools (maybe)... the rest would be easy for you to move around. The farther you live from west bay the cheaper the price is but you get a great value flat or even a villa for your budget.
You can get a fully furnished apartment either with your budget which also includes great facilities for your family. Think about the play area for your child as well.

Somerset?!?! He's saying he needs one for 5000 QR not 15000 QR.
Lovermanlover I suggest you get here first and drive around some areas, the people that will approach you from this site will only offer you outrageously inflated prices, if you drive around and jot down some for rent numbers you'll find something pretty quick.
You caan check Somerset apartments beside W hotel westbay & i can say these r one of the best FURNISHED apartments in doha,if u need any assistance let me know.

In QR 5000 you can even get furnished 1bhk flat.
I was living at hilal area near indian embassy, 3bhk flat rent was QR 6000.
So 1bhk within QR 5000 is not a big deal.
First see which area your office is located. Talk to someone in your company regarding same.
You can see gulf times newspaper classified there you will get good acomodation advertisements.
