Hi,

I am trying to set up a (hopefully) 10+ player Steel Drum band here in Doha. Just for now I'm wanting to gauge interest. Anyone out there interested in learning to play pan and join the band?

There is a LOT of work to be done - getting the pans, location for practice and recruiting members but I like a challenge...and once my mind is made up!

There is a great playlist on Youtube that describes the different pans used in a full orchestra band setting and some tips on playing. If you want to get a better idea of what pan is then take a look...
