Classical Pianist here, I would love to connect with other musicians in Doha. But I don't know if I'm staying in Doha. Something has come up. I'll be on the lookout if I am staying.

Im mostly a soloist, but Ive jammed with people back in the states adding a classical twist to it. But I really need to practice my scales for this kind of thing. Im quite rusty and haven't played in ages. It was great to play at the music store next to Jarir. There were delighted too, its seemed like they rarely get someone in there that can tear it up.

Ive mostly studied Chopin and JS Bach.

Feel free to drop me a message :)

Hi all, so, are there any regular jamming sessions going on that don't mind having somebody just sitting in and listening? the budding of a fan club? =)

Also, wonder if anybody knows details of how to take GRADE 8 piano test in Qatar? (e.g. registration, test scores, etc.)

Any piano teachers?

course / private lessons are both okay =)

Thanks!

Hello friends of music, here is a guitarrist from Spain...I was performing there twice with my jazz-flamenco group at the National Theatre and I will return for the Opening of the Islamic Arts Museum...And the question is...are there any place for jamming...jazz musicians or something like that?

I know this is a bit late, but I play guitar, keyboard, bit of drums, and sing.

Only 16 though.

Took up classical guitar for a while, during which I covered the basics of flamenco and Spanish-style playing, amongst other forms.

Then basically furthered my musical education with the help of the internet and my electric guitar. Also picked up keyboard and drums by myself.

As to the singing,I used to take vocal lessons.

I have a couple of vids on Youtube.

Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting For You GUITAR SOLO

Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home

The guitar one is a bit scratchy as it was quite a long time ago. And God,the 2nd one is just embarrassing.

=.=

Anyway, comments are much appreciated. :)

- Lavinia.

P.S. - Oh, and yeah I'm trying to see if I can get gigs or something. :S Plus I can't find any jam studios here. o_O

hey y'all~

sounds like fun what you guys are doing~  are you guys lacking a manager? =P

Hey Carrie~ I'd churned out a couple of lyrics too (but that was when I was still in Uni.. haha.. feels like a long time back.. couple of us came tog for a music festival, made a CD and donated profits to charity~~ not a lot of money, but it was pretty fun~~ =P)

I'd learnt piano when I was little, and took some basic guitar classes.. but hope you guys noticed that it's all "past tense".. i.e. I'm pretty rusty now~~ and I didn't bring any instruments with me except for a ... hmm... what dya call it.. it's a wind instrument, but not a flute.. erm.. just some souvenir that resembles a recorder...

Hey there

Not quite although i like his stuff.

I mostly have my own style of playing, Experimenting eastern meledies on western instruments and fusing oriental / classical music of different cultures with metal.

Hard to explain...though im not a total metal head. I like getting into blues and funk often too.

Have a classical Piano piece launched in some underground music sites incase any1 wants to hear...
