because of the pressure of the society, people act in the denial mode for many of their negetive traits..

like,

- a corrupt bureaucrat would be seen often in religious ceremonies.

- the room of an immaculately dressed person would be shabby and dirty.

- regular brothel visitors would would talk very high of women's rights and their upliftment etc.

- a man suffering from PE and ED would often brag about his sexual escapades to his friends.

many more examples of such denial mode can be cited..

it's the personal who's hiding he's true sexual tendency/tendencies...it's used for people who likes people from their same sex...so the closet is a metaphorical image which states that gay people are hiding inside of it , affraid of declaring to the open their true sexual orientation...

and here we see brit saying that he's typing from the closet which means that he's gay and he's hesitating to admit it...mostly it's a cry for help!!! :D
