Doha is boring!

After 3 months in Doha I'm already bored! It's true what the guide books say about this place. I didn't believe it but now I'm convinced.

Well there is a great party going on at the Diplomatic Club this coming Thursday. (Check out the Events page link)

Ministry of Sound (MoS) is in Doha for the first time ever!

So if you are into parties, clubbing and music I can be sure that, that night would not be boring....

Life is what you make it.. But if you're really really really bored and can't see any light at the end of the tunnel, then look for somewhere outside Qatar. Life is too short and must be enjoyed.

Look, Qatar has plenty to offer ...... blood tests, driving tests, X-rays, finger printing, exit permits, sandstorms, humidity, extreme heat, cold weather, roundabouts, brown buildings with flat roofs, Formula One drivers, sand, rock, dust, hot showers without heaters... and I haven't even come to the exciting part yet! You call that boring? I call that challenging. :)

I assure you, our QL members will have plenty to add on to this list.....

Every place has its excitement and culture. Qatar life is a very much different life

what you have to do is involve your self in some activities. social , sports.

i came from a city with a population of over 20 million, life full of pace. though when i reach here i felt like someone has put the hand brakes on."Oh God! what on earth people do with this amount of time and no activities".

Though i found activities like walking daily on corniche. playing squash and tennis.book reading. you might be feeling lonely and thats why it seems your life is boring.

To me i found opportunity to do and try many things that i never found time for in my life. yet i am enjoying it. Its really amazing that this city gives you time and space to do everything in your life

find some friends to hang out with. although, i must say that recreational and leisure places to hang out are not that much you can still enjoy these places with your friends.

There are lots of things to do but you have to be open to new things, horse races, sports events, camel races, lots of conferences, Doha Debates, classes at some of the Uni's, look at all the clubs you can join if you have an interest. Lots of water sports, kitesailing, wakeboarding, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, sailing, blowcarting, duning, etc. You just have to keep looking at the events section of this site. Volunteer to help a club. You can be overly busy without even trying.

Theres no such thing as a boring country, only boring people who dont know how to have fun or occupy themselves. I would say Q is limited but you can make the most of your time where ever you are..
