"Al Hurra" channel correspondent, Aisha Al Douri, has decided to sue Egyptian actor Omar Al Sherif for slapping her during the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. In an interview on the show "Al Ashera Masaan" on "Dream 2" channel, Aisha said she was shocked after receiving the slap, indicating she didn't cry when it happened to preserve her dignity. The correspondent expressed she is very upset with the festival's administration, who urged her not to raise the topic of the Egyptian actor slapping her to the audience. Al Douri denied seeking fame through this incident, noting she requested Al Sherif to take a photo with her as a journalist and not as a fan like some media outlets circulated. She said she smiled and took a photo with the Egyptian actor upon getting slapped because she was still in shock.

She is embarrassed and probably afraid of causing negative publicity ...

of course she denies it.

strangely Aisha Aldouri denied being slapped or assaulted on her twitter account (@aishaaldouri)! She works as TV presenter for US financed- Al Hurra Arabic channel

As for DTFF, they got a world wide publicity ;)

Well, he is just another "has been", and IF and when they get invited to some event, they expect to be treated as in their "hey day"as they do not want to realize that their time has gone.....hence they are irritated, and often act irrational....on the other hand, he may know what he is dealing with..hence his reaction.

This explanation is no excuse , of course.

He's a pratt who obviously thinks he's still acting in Lawrence of Arabia. He should be prosecuted.

If you see him, he went from charming to nasty in a blink of an eye. If he cannot control his temper, he should not go to public events - and if you read the article, this is clearly not the first time either

Any action taken? Ha!

He was charged in similar incidents in Paris and in the US.

But if the victim in the Doha incident thought about filing charges, she would likely be talked out of it... perhaps given a fancy watch or something...

Maalesh habibti, maalesh... :(

A fatherly slap?!! Good grief, what retarded thinking.
