Filipno men

Why on earth Filipino married men are affraid of wives. In many public places i see wives shouting & using foul langauge,(Working with Filipinos picked up lingo espeacially the bad ones) yet they stand with head down. Knowing about their wives affairs with other men or bosses, ignore it. Is this a culture or the money talks.

...is to shout at them and make her husband looked like he cheated so that she can easily file a divorce and make the Filipino husband lose custody over properties and child ownership. ;oP

how long you've been working with Filipinos that you just concluded about their traits?

In fairness to them, I consider Filipino men unique because they maybe like what you 'observed' but, you'd never know how tough they can be!

they just listen to what their wife saying.filipino men really knows how to blend.if the wife shouted on him,he just listen until his wife calm down.anyway we dont get angry without any reasons.

and maybe wives got used to it. Maybe taken from the environment.

Unlike in middle eastern countries and arab ones, while, majority of the families, husbands still the rulers and the wives are just secondary.

whoever said that no divorce policy is correlated with domestic violence must be guessing. In a Justice Survey in US (where divorce is allowed - rampant), two-thirds of the offenders were ex-bf, bfs, or ex-spouses. only 9 percent were spouses. get your facts straight please.

(and by the way, correlation is not causal!)

about the filipina wives shouting at their husbands in public, you're obviously generalizing that based on a few you've seen. hey i've seen more than ten times arab ladies dishing their husbands in public as well, am i allowed to generalize that all arab ladies are like that? hell no!

I think you have that misconception...For me it's very strange espcially here in Doha. If you see a filipino men being shouted by his wife, difinitely he's carrying his balls to his shoulder...That's true...You can ask him directly if he's carrying his balls in the right place or in his shoulder?

In the other case you stated that a filipino men ignores his wife affair to his boss or other men? He must be crazy and deserves to be shoot down there....No filipino men can do that if his in correct mind...most filipinos are jealous guy in terms ot their own relationships...I totally disagree with you habibi....

not only filipina are shouting at their husband,I've seen arabic women shouting at their husbands too but the only difference filipino guys are trying their best not to argue in public with their wives so as not to create more scene unlike the arabs they will hit their wives in public and I've seen some...like in city center and somebody called the security and it's very shameful...

Filipinos by nature are sweet and loving and if they showed too much, sometimes the women are abusing it.

Where did you get that notion?

Actually filipino men are very loving. We love so many women that we get caught. Probably the one you saw is a wife catching his husband cheating :P.

Anyhow I seldom see in reality that filipino men are being maltreated or badgered by their wives. My wife never shouts at me and I don't shout at her.

In reality filipina wives are so spoiled by filipino men (btw that's one of our traits ;) that when we tend to ignore them filipina women "express" themselves according to your description.

Maybe its because of the so called..Empowering the Filipina Women....

Most of us are financially independent from our husbands but that doesn't mean say we can shout at them....

Or maybe we are just misunderstood when we talk back or give reasons....

It happens to me in my workplace in which i disagree with one of our project manager, he told me that as an arabic man they are not used to be corrected by a woman, i said also, in our country our women stood up what she believes is right....I got his respect!!!

1. a wife is essential to great longevity; she is the receptacle of half a man's cares, and two-thirds of his ill-humor.

2. let us now set forth one of the fundamental truths about marriage: the wife is in charge.

3. only two things are necessary to keep one's wife happy. one is to let her think she is having her own way, and the other is to let her have it.

really???afraid??? i don't know but most families i know wife are usually submissive to their husband. i myself is submissive to my husband but if there is instances that i answer him back or shouted at him there is a good reason for it and i make sure that it was not on public place. anyway where did you get this idea?? about the cheating thing am not sure about it but in my opinion maybe the wife is cheating and the husband don't give a damn on it because the husband knows he lacks of something.example is work.

the problem could be that in the Philippines it's too difficult to get divorced. There is a correlation such that the more difficult you make divorce the more domestic violence will take place
