As my company have sent my passport off to get the RP would I be allowed to go into a bar with a photocopy of my passport?

MN,speaking of "spanish" fellows.. the ones from Barcelona get everything free nowadays too :)they get a special treatment at the custom, at other government offices, especially if the officer happened to be a Barca fan... fellows from Madrid and the rest of Spain are treated differently :)
brit, speaking of getting in to night clubs for free.. just yesterday they surprized me even more... not only I got in to the bar free.. but also was given 3 coupons for 3 FREE drinks..
That's why when some anonym asks "if this salary offer good enough", my first question is "are you a girl or a guy?" ..it DOES make big difference in qatar :)

Brit: Believe it or not but it did happen right in front of me no kiddin! Same situation we were put in a couple of months ago my Spanish friend who also happened to have his passport taken away for the ID processing got stopped at the Irish Harp entrance because he didn't have his identification with him just as four white aussies who also didn't have their ID on them were let off the hook! I literally had to put up a nasty fight to get him inside which I finally did with a big grin on my face: P
I'm shocked and stunned. A white person can get into a bar with a minimum of id. Next you'll be telling me that women can get in free to night clubs :O(
You got taken to the front of the queue at the medical not because you are white, but because the company paid for VIP service.
Champions has a Sri Lankan doorman who won't bend the rules regardless of your skin colour. He made my white co-worker go back to her car for the ID (while I waited 20 / long walk + recovery time from underground valet parking)

They're mediocre on a good day. Stupid most days. But to be fair, they had about 40 passports/ids to process - is the timing cumulative?
They had my passport on my first day, the PRO brought it with him for our medical today, I am going for finger printing on Thursday. He said I should get it back with RP next week.
I can have it when I want it but completely forgot to ask!
through the supermarket to buy some materials for the company. Then he have to go to several offices to deliver messages and form and letters, then he goes home to rest for a while, then back to the office to prepare some documents and run errands from the BOSS. All in all, 1 week maybe. Lol!

PRO takes your passport (1 min), goes to the immigration office (30 min), stamps your RP into the passport (15 min), and bring your passport back (30 min).
All procedure takes 1 hour and 16 minutes. They do not need to keep your passport over night.

Uk, 2 weeks for the RP renewal is unacceptable! it is matter of 2-3 hours.
MC, we have only highly professional exceptional PROs, who can do miracles.. ;) Otherwise we can close our company and go home.. :)

Was planning on going to Champions as its the closet bar to me that I know off.
Might just go early anyway then if I cannot get in I'll come back to the little restaurant in my apartment that shows the games.
Ben, it depends on the Bar you are visiting... In Sheraton there is a bar on Mezzanine Floor, There you won't require any kind of Identification....
