Good or just fine housemaid is really a chance to find?

Wondering why some people mis treated their housemaid and let them leave. To think this people only want to earned for their family way bak home and some are looking for just one fine to accommodate their need or extra hand and end up unlucky?
Just got one a year ago and a month or two she asked to go home for family issue, another one few after the one leave but she seems have minor mental issues or PMS as the doctor tell, we have to sent her home to get well and for our safety also.
Now I left wondering what is my chances of getting a fine housemaid, because I don't believe in perfect one because I myself is not perfect. How you treat people is the same how they will treated you back.
Do it really have to be trial and error?
