Good place for brunch?
Hi Guys,
what's a good place for brunch in town? They have a great one at the Marriott (excellent food, you'll never be able to try everything on one day) and I even heard that they have it on Saturdays now as well - which is quite great, think they are the first place in town?
What do you guys think about brunch?
anytime :)
I do fancy some lebanese dishes since it's been quite a while since i had some.
What do you say, bajesus...coming with me?

Al-Saha restuarant next to Olympia sports. They have the best hummous with meat in town. Another great Lebanese restaurant is Sabah wa Massa in Al-Muthana complex...you must try their Lebnah...and their kunafa (Arabic dessert with gooey cheese inside!) is simply the best!

I find Awtar much much better than Layali

Sorry, paula1 for giving you the WRONG info....but do try Layali. I think it's beside Fauchoun (did I spelled it right?)

Très loin de gratin dauphinoise et nasi lemak..uhuhuhuhu
I think it's 175 or something - not cheap, but what you get is wooooooow! Non Alcoholic beverages are included, but they also have one including alcohol, don't know how much..
How much it cost for brunch in Marriot pls?

The one I was reffering to is when you stand facing Crepaway, on the right hand side - it's in kind of an office building, you don't really see it from outside, you have to go through the office-buliding like entrance area, and you can sit on the ground floor (non smoking) or go upstairs (smoking area). But it is open, so you can watch the people sitting downstairs when you're upstairs ;-) They also have a live singer in the evening.
Boo... "the place at the marriot, what's it called?"
---are you referring to cornish resto from there?... the brunch there is really awesome (you can eat all sorts of food from the nearby restos as well)...i have another reservation for brunch there this weekend... wippeeeee!!!...

Good morning owen. how are you?

I think the main part is in the Corniche, but they include all their restaurants in it, and therefore you have all the choice from different food.....
I think he is talking about Awatar which is inside Al Muthanna complex or Le Notre

You are right, they also serve quite superb tasting dishes there and also serve nice Shiesha...

..is on Salwa Road, next to Crepaway and all that stuff - no idea about the name though...and there's another one in Souq Waqif, on the opposite of the place where this boat is on the street (sorry, can't describe it better)...
Yea Assaha is good but the sheesha is not good there lol. I was gonna book Assaha for today, but it didnt come to my mind earlier. For the next time i will reserve Assaha.

I do LOVE PAUL's (the restaurant/cafe in Villagio Mall) as well...especially their healthy dishes. There's this spinach dish that's so creamy and delicious, i go there every once in a while just to have it...

i know the place but i didn't try it there yet,any suggestion on what to order?Lucky Charm
i suggest you try their pastries, they're all really good.
Its opposite H&M. its more of a cafe then a resturant, but i highly recommend it.
booo what can you suggest at paul?i love trying other restaurants also.Lucky Charm
try the ramada hotel (old building)
Is it a restaurant? Where is it, never realized it was there?
did you try Paul at Villagio, nice pastries but dont know if that's your idea of brunch.
Actually, it's in all the restaurants - they have 4 or 5 restaurants next to each other, and the brunch is all over the place - you have mediterranean, indian, mexican, asian, and arabic food, great seafood (would die for the scallops and shrimps), sweets, everything you can imagine. Different live cooking in the restaurants as well.
