ingeniero : maybe you should do also do some research. To err is human and I could be wrong. If you believe I am, then please correct me with logical arguments and facts rather than baseless statements like that.

Next time try to do your research in Pakistan

You Pakistanis wanted to get rid of British citizenship but now almost 90% of the country if you poll would want to be British.

This means Jinnah was a failure, his vision was a failure (see Bangladesh). He did all this for his ego, as he couldn't go further in congress party.

His own family didnt subscribe to his theory. Just shows that only idiots followed him and educated people (even in his family) were not with him.

No one can undo it, but almost near to undo... when they get what they want. why to undo it then? :(

We (Pak and Bengal) were united, but Britain taught them such things, that we separated from your brothers.. anyhow that is a dark past!

and it was difficult for one PM/President to rule this much big area, thats why Mr. Jinnah wanted to divide it :P

BTW Britain is suppose to give every Pakistani/Indian/Bengali their nationality or free 50 years visit to England, since they ruled here :P

Tahsnimim all good things come to an end. I think the British Empire left a lasting legacy for the sub-continent (the Judicial system, the medical institutions and most important of all the Railways) They probably left much more than they took from these lands..:)

Yes Inge, Jinnah and Gandi both were lawyers educated in the UK..:) They turned on the hand that fed them I mean that educated them :)

I feel pity that Jinnah went against the doctrine of Gandhi which was a United India. If it was not for Jinnah, United India (Pakistan, Bangladesh and India) would've have been a super power now? ..:-)

I am aware of many things.. But is this necessary to discuss sad part always? Can't we discuss something good about him? Whatever he did or happened to him was his personal, But at the end both Gandhi Ji and Mr. Jannah did well to get rid of you people :P

By GodFather.• 25 Dec 2012 17:28

Inge no one is mocking him. It is the sad part of history that you are never hear about!

I'm hooked on to reading about a person I barely knew -

"These were the X rays of Jinnah diagnosed as a T.B. patient. The authors, after creating a suspense, further write that: "The damage was so extensive that the man whose lungs were on the film had barely two or three years to live. Sealed in an unmarked envelope, those X rays were locked in the

office safe of Dr.J.A.L.Patel, a Bombay physician."

On the basis of the story, Jinnah emerged as the one on whom depended the whole movement of Pakistan. The story further becomes interesting when a Hindu doctor kept the secret at the cost of Indian unity. His political inclinations were more important than his professional integrity."

"Despite this remarkable accomplishment, Jinnah remains an enigmatic and controversial figure. Although he began his career as a respected leader of the Indian National Congress, he ended it as its most implacable opponent. Although he was not a devout Muslim (he drank alcohol and ate pork), he demanded in the name of Islam the creation of Pakistan. Although he could not speak most of the main Indian Muslim languages, he captivated audiences of millions during the campaign for Pakistan."
